Description

The Bose TV Speaker helps you hear your TV better. It’s a small sound bar that clarifies speech and improves overall TV sound. Inside the TV speaker there are two full-range drivers angled to deliver wide, spacious sound and a center tweeter specifically focused on elevating vocals. Built-in Dolby decoding helps further enhance this compact TV speaker’s audio capabilities to deliver a more realistic and satisfying listening experience. Designed with simplicity in mind, this small soundbar only uses a single connection to the TV via an optical audio cable (included) or an HDMI cable (sold separately) and has you up and running in minutes. At just over 2" tall, the Bose TV Speaker is a compact sound bar that can be placed just about anywhere. And small LED lights on the front of this small soundbar turn on and/or change color for visual confirmation when certain features are enabled. They also blink in acknowledgement of volume changes. The Bose TV Speaker has HDMI-CEC, which allows the TV and this small soundbar to communicate when connected with an HDMI cable. Meaning when you turn the TV on, the TV speaker will automatically turn on too. With this technology, you can even keep using your current TV remote to control the volume of this compact soundbar. However, the Bose TV Speaker comes with its own remote. And on it, you can enable “dialogue mode” on the TV speaker to elevate vocals even more or press the “bass” button for some extra depth. This compact soundbar also is a Bluetooth soundbar. Simply press the Bluetooth button on the remote to pair your device to this Bluetooth TV speaker and wirelessly stream your favorite music or podcasts. You can also expand your system at any time by adding a wired subwoofer to the Bluetooth TV speaker for a more home-theater-like experience. The Bose TV Speaker is compatible with the Bose Bass Module 500 and 700 and requires the Bose Bass Module Connection Cable or a standard 3.5 mm audio cable, sold separately.

  • expensive but BOSE quality
Color: Bose Black
I love my Vizio Smart Tv for picture quality - but tv speakers not good - had to raise volume up over 80 to hear voices clearly - bought a sound bar on sale for around $50 - big mistake - audio kept going out for a few seconds when there were quiet scenes - after investigating the option echo off which supposedly would solve that problem and having to pay approximately $800 - no way - there are many sound bars on market and none seemed to address this issue specifically - I don't care about surround sound etc. - just wanted speaker clarity - anyway decided to spend the money on quality - have had Bose speakers before - sooo easy to install - plug and play - had to purchase HDMI ARC cable - but didn't have to change my smart tv settings - the auto setting picked it up right away -best thing is the clarity and depth of sound even with bass at a medium level and volume now around 35 or less for me to hear everything - very happy - you get what you pay for ... show more

  • Works great!
Color: Bose Black
Got a new fancy tv for Christmas. It’s super thin and hung on a wall. It looks great, but you can’t hear anything because the speakers are tiny and face down into the wall. I didn’t know soundbars were a thing until a few weeks ago. Did 10 minutes of research. Bought a Bose soundbar at the midrange price. It comes with an optical cable. You can use an HDMI Arc cable but you’ll need to buy it separately. I’m sure there are sound folks who swear optical is too narrow to get great sound. I can’t tell the difference. It took 5 minutes to set up. Sounds great. ... show more

  • Great for dialogue
Color: Bose Black
Have two different models of Zvox and a TV Ears. This is the best! The TV Ears May be the clearest but to inconvenient, always needing charging and in the way. This Boise has decent base for its size and voices very clear, don’t even need it in dialogue mode. Hooked up in two minutes with HDMI and works well with tv remote. Only slight drawback is doesn’t show volume level. More isn’t always better, have had soundbars costing 4x this amount and this works better for my use. Watched a movie last night, very acceptable sound quality and I could understand it ... show more

  • Almost great. But not.
Color: Bose Black
First things first. The speaker sounds great. A genuine step up from the TV’s speaker. Now, for my rant. Bose has a reputation for quality (ignoring acoustic pseudo-imaging lore of old) and price (think Apple). These past two years I’ve purchased 4 Bose products. They’ve been largely as expected but NONE of them has been “what I expect from Bose” when it comes to attention to detail. Specifically, attention to detail when it comes to the software side of the house. This speaker failed (100%) to be discoverable when in Bluetooth discovery mode. I use an Android device AND a iPhone 11 (latest OS) and neither of those could “see / discover” the speaker. Nor could Bose’s own application (when on those devices). This is a first for me. BT discovery is ancient tech by now. Bose has no excuse for getting this wrong. My other Bose products (specifically my 900 series sound bar, not this one) can’t make it 6 months w/o needing a hard (unplug it from the wall) reset. If anyone at Bose is reading this, circle back around and re-work some of your software quality metrics. …cause you ain’t got 'em nailed, imo. Good, I suppose Fantastic, not even. I expect more. FWIW: This speaker requires a 3.5mm hard line to run a Bose subwoofer. One cannot use the wireless sub functionality at this level of product. I kind of expected that. It has a rather annoying bright white light when ON (which negatively competes with the TV experience). …a dim feature would be most welcome. ... show more

  • Beautifully enhanced sound!
Color: Bose Black
This was so easy to get connected and the remote is easy to use. I have an old Sony TV, one of the first flat screens, and this sound bar makes everything sound so wonderful! The added bass to music and TV programs gives viewing and listening an added joy. It it the smallest of the Bose sound bars, but it has big sound, perfect for an apartment! I would definitely recommend this product! ... show more

  • Not Worth It!!
Color: Bose Black
This Bose TV Speaker has pretty good sound quality for the tv because it does sound better than the tv speakers and better volume and the speech is a little clearer, but that's about as far as it goes. I purchased this sound bar after looking at many, but mostly because I have been a Bose fan for many decades and in the days of them becoming to where they are now everything was exceptional until I received this product. Bose dropped the ball on this one and seem to be living now off their name of top-quality products and service in the past and you know what starts to happen when you cut back on the quality, you start to lose your long time customers and no repurchase's from most new ones so business starts to decline, and we all know what has happened to big companies in the past. You charge high dollars so put back in the quality you use too. For two days I have been trying to get a simple question answered from them and no response. After purchasing this product, I have come to realize the only subwoofer I can add to this sound bar which has poor bass, is programed only for their brand, and their cheapest woofer starting at $500.00 plus, that is ridicules. The Bluetooth is version is 4.2, that came out around 2011 or 12 so outdated, much cheaper brands even have the newer versions, heck the remote is not even Bluetooth! You have to make sure no other devices have Bluetooth on to connect to a single device you want par and listen two, a lot of others allow two at once so you can switch back and forth. There is absolutely no way to turn on or control the sound bar if you lose the remote, battery goes bad or if the remote goes bad, but we all know that does not happen now does it? For a 300-dollar soundbar especially from Bose I expected more, half was for the name and the other half for the actual worth of the unit and to get more bass I need to spend over $500.00 more when other top brand units come with a sound bar for under $300.00. I should be able to connect other subwoofer brands to this unit but from all my checking only a couple of people have gotten lucky, I have two and neither one will work with this unit when I connected them, so It's kind of like I gotcha from Bose if you want to upgrade your sound bar for $500.00 plus more to Bose. Yes, looks like this one is going back to Bose. Update: I decided to keep the speaker even as disappointed as I am with this so outdated speaker and mine was made in 2023 and then 28 days after using it just stopped working after being on for about a hour and a half, it only blinks the two lights white 3 times and turns the tv side light green and does this over and over again and will not turn off unless you unplug it, plug it back up and light off a couple of minutes then automatically turns back on and starts the same process over and over, So much for quality Bose I did not even get a months' worth of use and thank goodness I had two days left to return, never again for me Bose. Service is nonexistent never got a answer for a simple question I sent earlier so just imagine how it is with a real problem. ... show more
