My wife recently purchased a new all blacked out and lowered Tahoe which had a K&N cold air intake system already installed by the dealer. It sounded pretty good already. Adding this exhaust system definitely has this beast sounding as good as it looks now. The day after it was installed we spent a few days driving the mountains in Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee. This thing sounds so good. Quality is first rate. Materials are real nice and welds are superior. The first muffler I received was dented. Borla's support line was fantastic. They sent another right away. That said, I'm not happy with the noise level. These are supposed to be touring mufflers and they are louder than expected - maybe I'm getting old though :). I went through quite a bit to get the sound I was looking for. I did the following: 1) My 2017 Chevy Tahoe has AFM (automatic Fuel Management) on it. The truck goes form 4 to 8 cylinders all the time and the Borla muffler really amplifies this transition - real annoying. I purchased a Superchip re-programmer to turn off AFM. It helped ALOT. 2) The stock mounts did not hang down far enough, consequently the muffler tips rubbed on my rear bumper. As a result, my rear bumper is melted in one spot. Also, it made a alot of noise rubbing on the bumper - another annoying thing. 3) As I mentioned, Borla exhaust is louder than I wanted. I had a resonator cut in and welded in prior to the muffler. This helped with higher RPM muffler noise but not low rpm noise. I may go back to stock exhaust but I'm not sure. ... show more
