Amazingly easy to install. The fit is perfect. Sound is great although I was hoping for more throaty deep tone. Headers and x-pipe might help get there. Did the install on my back with floor jack. Did not have to drop the sway bar. Did not have to remove the muffler mounts. Did have to cut the old exhaust. Take out the 4 bolts that hold the tail pipes together. Made the cut between the sway bar and transaxle cross member. Remove the old and reverse (with out the cutting part). Whole job took just under 30 minutes by myself. Granted I have a very clean 2000, no rusty bolts to deal with. ... show more

    • Great exhaust upgrade!
The media could not be loaded. Excellent fit, finish, and sound. Only issue was removal of the old axle-back the previous owner installed (poorly). The Borla Stinger system is well built, easy to install, and sounds great! No highway drone but an aggressive sound when hard on the gas.

For the life of me I can't figure out why the quad tips are $400 more than the dual tips. I mean, how much can a tip cost? So I went with the dual because I flat out don't care, and $400 buys a lot of gas. I'm 60 years old and installed it in an hour with nothing but a pair of floor jacks and a cut-off wheel. Yes, I cut off the old exhaust, and saved me time and pain. The Borla system bolted right up and BANG, now I'm cool! ... show more

Installed on my 2001 C5 and it is awesome! Installation was a breeze and even came with a free Borla baseball cap. Recently replaced the stock cat converters and exhaust x-pipes with a new Flowmaster 2010014 system. Sound is throaty and deep, but not over the top loud; only slightly louder than stock inside the car when on the highway at 75 MPH. Follow the included instructions to lower the sway bar down and out of the way in order to provide extra clearance when removing the stock system and putting in the new one. The whole installation process was very simple & took roughly under 2 hours. I did cut the stock exhaust so that definitely sped up the process. You can do most of the installation with a full size floor jack & a standard tool kit. I will say this don't expect it to be super loud. It has a nice simple tone, slightly aggressive on high throttle. It does sound better than the stock exhaust. Overall I was happy with my purchase considering it's one of the cheaper name brand kits out there ... show more

let me start first I have looked at many cat back system for my c5 Corvette so I did quite a bit of homework and for quality price and sound you cannot beat the system.the Borla exhaust system was delivered on a timely manner very easy put on a had my old buffer system in the new cat back system put on less than an hour.I have driven the car a couple times since I've had the system put on quite a nice sound out the back no drone in the car..I've had quite a few compliments from my hotrod buddy say that the car actually sounds quite nice with the system don't hesitate in buying it you'll be happily pleased. ... show more

Very happy with the exhaust. Just the right amount of rumble without much drone at cruising speeds. Install was fairly easy. Only complaint was really having to crank down on clamps to keep the tips even. Had to use more force (torgue) than instructions recommended, but looks and sounds great!
