  • My Camaro Sounds Like a Monster!!
This exhaust is amazing! I love it. I don't regret it at all. I wasn't sure what would show up to the house, but the product came as described with all the necessary parts. There was a hiccup with the delivery, but that was FedEx fault (they suck).

  • Borla ATAK = Very nice
This is by far the best sounding exhaust I have ever owned on any GM muscle car. Installed on my 2016 2SS M6 with no other modifications to the exhaust system, and there is ZERO drone. Don't be scared of the ATAK being too loud; I'm very happy that I didn't go with the S-Type. NPP valves open: it has a good mellow idle. Off-idle to 3k rpm sounds "throaty" (with a pleasant soft yet deep note combined with an enjoyable mid range note). Above 3k it comes to life and screams without an ounce of annoying rasp, nor does it have that 4wd truck exhaust tone. Never once does it let out an unenjoyable note. Every sound wave is perfection. NPP valves closed: ATAK with NPP closed is the same volume level as the stock muffler with NPP open (below 3k rpm at least). The idle with NPP closed is barely quieter than with them open. Off-idle to 3k rpm is a little quieter than with NPP open. Above 3k rpm is where the real difference between open and closed is seen as it's very quiet above 3k rpm with NPP closed; it sounds like a radical rush of air without sounding bad, and is a little louder than stock muffler with NPP open. I drive with NPP closed in the morning. It sounds like $1500 exhaust, and it's worth every penny. ... show more

  • Cutting off the old exhaust is worth it!
This is such an excellent exhaust for a 6th Gen Camaro. It has a deep throaty sound, is as loud as you want in sport or track modes and almost silent in your mode. The install is easy (aside from cutting off the old exhaust). I didn’t like how vague the instructions were on where to cut and ended up measuring the distance from the hangers on the new exhaust to know where to cut off the old one. It’s pretty forgiving if you aren’t exact though; closer to the end of the flange is still better. If you are looking at Corsa or Blackheart, you can’t go wrong with the Borla Atak! ... show more

  • DON'T BUY. TO MAKE IT LOUD, YOU NEED XPIPE, DELETE CAT AND REMOVE RESONATOR. VIDEO DON'T SAY
I thought the ATAK muffler will make my Camaro 2SS sound louder. It didn't. I talked to Borla Rep, he said what the sound video don't say is you need All the rest, like X-pipe, CAT delete and resonator taken out. If you want more put in headers. Also C6 corvette don't have resonator or larger secondary muffler and this will make it louder. Camaros has big secondary muffler/resonator for droning. ... show more

  • Borla Atak = absolute pleasure
I had the factory quad-tip NPP exhaust with AFM. I had it ripped out and Magnaflow installed which made my Camaro sound like a 4wd old pickup truck. Stay away from Magnaflow especially for 2016-2018 Camaro, it drones VERY loud and low-end torque is reduced. I was a bit skeptical if I would be satisfied with a different exhaust or if I should just have my factory NPP exhaust put back in. I read a lot of reviews, watched many youtube videos about many different exhaust companies. Every review. every video praised on how great Borla exhausts perform and sound. Borla's website states their exhausts have zero drone. Well, I had it finally installed today with secondary cat's removed. From idle to 3K it sounds just like NPP exhaust with valves open, not loud, just right. 3k-redline it comes to life and damn it sounds like a Lingenfelter Corvette. A rush of perfect tones, and a rush of extra HP. I’m happy that I got the ATAK instead of S-type or Touring. ... show more

  • Sounds good, but tips bent
After numerous attempts at adjusting and re adjusting, still have one side tips too close together and the other side is spread apart. One would think if paying $1500 for an exhaust system this wouldn't happen. Awaiting to hear back from Borla on a possible fix. Sounds good tho. Quieter at hwy speeds than stock, but very loud and aggressive when pedal applied :D ... show more

  • Poor welding, it’s leaking on it’s second day. Not recommended
Hi, I’ve done a lot of searching and decided to settle on this muffler for my 6th gen camaro ss. Seemed nice out of the box and it started leaking on its 2 day use. They have done a poor welding job on this, went back to the shop, they welded all the leaks after $400 and started leaking again 2 days later. I put my stock npp muffler back on and now it’s collecting dust in the garage. Wasted so much money for this junk. I do not recommend this borla muffler. I will go with corsa extreme next time after saving for few months. I can’t even return it because it’s used now. Thanks for wasting my hard earned money. :( ... show more
