I recently picked up the Boreeman Upgraded Folding Stool specifically for my fishing adventures, thinking it would be the perfect lightweight and portable seating solution for both boat trips and jetty fishing. Overall, I'm quite pleased with its core functionality, though there are a few things potential buyers should keep in mind, echoing some experiences I've seen from others. The first thing that impressed me was just how lightweight and portable this stool truly is. Collapsing down to a mere 2.5 inches, it easily slips into my tackle bag or can be comfortably carried using the integrated nylon-web handle or the handy, storable shoulder strap. This makes it an absolute winner for anyone who prioritizes packability for activities like camping, hiking, or, in my case, fishing and BBQing. Setting it up is generally easy and quick. The "accordion" style opening using the finger holes is intuitive, and I appreciate the slight twist that locks it securely at the desired height. Being able to adjust it to intermediate heights is a nice feature, offering flexibility beyond the standard full extension of about 17.75 inches, which is a comfortable sitting height for me. Very happy with this purchase! As a senior, I needed something to use for those events where I would be standing/walking for extended periods. This lightweight, portable stool is easy to toss in the car and sling over my shoulder. It is very stable on solid ground! Do not attempt to use on uneven grass or soft surfaces; I learned this quickly as I tipped over into a soft fall on a park lawn, lol. It doesn't collapse unintentionally, but very easily with a simple twisting. Good value for the money!

Worked great for about 8 months. I’m a home health nurse weigh 275 and open and close this stool probably 15 times a day and sit on it for 10-30 minutes at a time. Stool is super solid! Only problem 8 months in I rock on this stool slightly as I bend over and lean on it. Well plastic doesn’t give and it broke and collapsed on me today. Luckily I’m ok but the stool broke into 1 million pieces. I think for the occasional user it will last a long time. However people who use it daily be prepared to get one every 6 months to avoid this.

I love this stool. I have used it to install door knobs, added air to the tires of my car, installed a new AV receiver and many other things. This is the second one I bought because I am keeping one in my car in case I need it to air my tires when I’m on the go somewhere. I keep a portable air inflator and a battery charger in my car for emergencies. I am 76 years old and have back issues so I can’t just stand there while I’m inflating a tire. This stool is a good height so it is easy to stand back up. I highly recommend it.

A much simple stool initially but unless you have attempted to activate it, it can be tricky! Upon unboxing, the stool held horizontally with the bottom toward my left, I inserted as directed on the instruction manual, all necessary fingers into the holes. Then pull apart. I thought was supposed to lock but it did not! My injuries to my upper body prevented my body from supplying the necessary strength to picking the choice of height. After sometime, I wanted to collapse the stool and I found that to be a little difficult, for it does require the right side to be wiggled a little to help unleash the locking lugs all visible to see on the stool’s body. I like the stool, just beware may require a break-in period! Some twist wrist action and torquing upper body movements. I would buy again.

Useful until it wasn’t. Would give it 5 stars however about 30 mins into my teenage son sitting, it collapsed and shattered. The concept is nice. Love that it was compact and lightweight but not durable.
