This is a nice little set. It kind of makes me think of Lego meets Lincoln Logs. Lol. You get 170 brightly colored pieces that easily snap together. Several sets of wheels are also included. Everything is neatly stored in a sturdy plastic case the firmly latches shut and has a carrying handle on top. The possibilities are endless!! I think the kids are going to enjoy it. The media could not be loaded. This would make a great classroom set or set for independent play for kiddos who have enough hand strength. The case is wonderful for storing the items, though the dividers easily come out. We just glued ours down. The booklet provides examples of what you can build but does not provide step by step instructions, just FYI (see photos). We built some of the items and to be honest, they are not really robust; however, kiddos will have a good time with it. I think the set is best for just using their imagination. You get a good amount of pieces and we were able to make several of the items in the booklet at the same time. I think $35 is a fair price for this set and at the time of this review it is such (approx $38 with a 10% off coupon you can apply on top). ... show more

My son absolutely loves all sorts of STEM toys, building toys, creative toys. He has a ton of fun with these. He’s actually incorporating them with his building blocks to make some pretty elaborate inventions. Simple to use for kids but apparently can be painful for adults not paying attention. I pinched my skin on my finger because I wasn’t watching as I put two pieces together and that was a learning moment for me. He hasn’t had that issue so far. It didn’t hurt too much and didn’t bruise but it did smart. Just pay attention like a child would and you’ll be fine. ... show more

    • Great Building Blocks Kit for Creative Minds
I purchased these building set for my boys, and it has been a hit! They absolutely love creating and building, and this set provides endless fun and challenges for their curious minds. The inclusion of wheels was a nice touch, and my boys enjoyed exploring the different structures they could build with them. Some designs were quite challenging, but they were determined and managed to complete them. I appreciate the bin that comes with dividers, making it easy to keep the pieces organized. The instructions mentioning the number of pieces needed for each design were helpful, although I wish there were more detailed step-by-step instructions for the trickier structures. Overall, this educational and learning toy is an excellent gift for creative and curious kids. It sparks their imagination and keeps them engaged for hours! ... show more

This is such a fun set of building toys, my three-year-old son plays with it every day and sometimes even brings his creations to bed with him. It comes in a kit with 170 components of six different types. I am impressed to see the wide variety of connections that can be formed between them, some rigid and some flexible. My son is very into puzzles and crafts and this set allows for plenty of engineering and creativity. At almost four years old he seems able to understand all the different connection types and is able to build things on his own. We love these and have recommended it to others already. The set comes with an instruction manual that gives a good overview of the connections, and walks through a couple of designs in detail. It also gives ideas for quite a few other creations, but just with one small photo for each, not full steps. The set comes in a nice bin with removable dividers. The dividers slip out of place easily sometimes, but can be fixed simply enough. The individual building blocks can break if stepped on by an adult, we have broken 2 of them in our first month, but that's just a warning to take good care of them, I don't think they are inappropriately fragile. The set is large enough that you can afford to lose a few without hindering play. These are really wonderful toys and I highly recommend them. ... show more

My pre-k students loved this toy! It is so unique compared to the other building toys in our classroom and every kid wanted to try it out! The loved seeing the different ways they could connect the pieces and how the pieces could move, twist and slide while they were connected. They especially loved the wheels! I love that the set comes in a convenient box with a handle on top and different compartments with the types and colors of pieces pre-sorted. It made it easy for the kids to find the pieces they were looking for and to put everything away in an organized manner. The partitions did have a hard time staying in their grooves, but they did stay in place between the colors. The set also came with a little book showing how the pieces connect and with some examples and ideas for what they could build. Some of the ideas were a little challenging for my 5 year olds, bit some they were able to do all on their own. These toys are great for a classroom, even beyond just building and playing, because you can use them to teach some different things, like how the ball joints in our bodies work, 3D shapes, and how structures need proper support. I've had sets like this in classrooms before and the only thing to be aware of is that the pieces are made of hard plastic and snapping the ball end into the joint causes the connecting pieces to stretch very slightly. This weakens those pieces over time. Eventually they will break, especially if the kids are rough on their toys, making that piece useless. Still, this set is great, with tons of pieces and the plastic doesn't seem cheap. ... show more
