This is such a great, affordable shelf unit. I can’t believe they got such a tall shelf into such a small box. This was very easy to put together with absolutely zero tools. Not even a screwdriver or an Allan key. I was so happy not to have to use a dreaded Allan key to assemble this. Everything just snapped together really easily. The instructions were in English and were very easy to follow. Everything was clearly labelled. Obviously this is not a high end piece of furniture but it is amazing value for the price and actually looks pretty good. It would be perfect as a bookshelf in a small apartment, in a closet, or a pantry. If it is too tall to suit your needs you could easily assemble this in a way to make it shorter by removing a shelf or two. This is lightweight and easy for one person to move around. The shelves are made of a particleboard material that has a wood pattern printed on it, so they can be wiped down but I would not get them wet. That being said it feels sturdy and high quality — the rest of the unit is powder coated metal. Highly recommend this for anyone who wants an affordable piece of furniture that is easy for one person to assemble and move around.

This arrived from the vendor with various pieces sorted into plastic bags or zip tied to keep them sorted. Everything from the vendor was packed with cardboard barriers & cardboard corner edging to prevent getting dented. Unfortunately they also had styrofoam space fillers which had crumbles & bits throughout the box. These spots & bits flew out when we unpacked & also were on shelf parts, brackets & on the shelf board pieces. We sorted things into matching sets then had to put the packing back into the box & then vacuum up all the crumbles before we could start. They included a brief (mostly visual) instruction sheet. They start out saying to attach this letter to that letter, but those letters aren’t on any of the pieces. We figured it out from the illustration. The building of the shelf went pretty good with the frame, with just a few parts taking some force to make them comply. It’s when you get to putting the boards into place — after you have spent a lot of time & energy already — that you realize this thing is badly engineered & you may have multiple problems & challenges. No matter how long we attempted (no matter how many times we tried to exchange a panel out for another) about three panels were buckled or warped — so significantly you could see their tan colored edges instead of the intended walnut tone surface. One shelf simply would not accept the final rivet push down “screw”, another shelf the rivets detached. We tried a spare set of rivets but they also failed to hold the shelf panels securely in place like they should have fit. Once you give up and say you have assembled it as good as it’s going to get: to add insult, there are at least three panels with manufacturing blemishes that are obvious to see as you look at the edge surfaces. In other words, even panels which went down & look good, some of theme have visual problems. This is usable I suppose, but instead of turning out to be useful for displaying objects to also highlight a nice shelf surface, the only way we can use this is to put bulky things on it to hide the shelving (& also to hold down the shelving to keep it from being buckled or unattached to the frame). There were no issues with the box, it was intact; the shelving pieces were together in one set (so some were level some were warped in the group); these were shipped defective, & that’s really simply rude.

very simple book shelf. fairly tall, with plenty of space for storage. was very surprised at the very small box it comes in, but the shelves are each in two pieces that have to be assembled. much lighter than i expected. metal frame and like a particle board type wood for the shelves. looks nice, not too industrial. shelves can hold a good amount of weight even though the whole piece is fairly light. was easy to assemble and the instructions were easy to follow. feels sturdy but because it is so tall i would secure it to the wall for safety if you have children. overall quality is nice and the price is reasonable for what you get. the only reason i dont give it a 5 star is because the materials could be a little bit better quality

I've never had a shelving unit of this design before, so I decided to give it a shot. About 5 years ago, I bought 2 units made of MDF. The load for each shelf was like 25lbs and nothing on the top shelf. These units no longer exist. So I was looking for something more stable with a higher weight capacity that would last longer than 5 years. I figured I couldn't go wrong with a metal frame. Even if the boards fail, I could make new ones. This unit is not terrible, but not super great either. PROS => Very easy assembly => Metal frame is much more stable than MDF stabilized only by cardboard nailed to the back => Easy to move and very lightweight => Can hold two 10x10 collapsible bins on each shelf, although one works better => 30lbs per shelf which is good given the overall size => Bars built into ends that act as bookends => Small footprint - big capacity => Bars in middle of shelves to prevent sagging CONS => Shelf boards themselves are super thin. They are about the same thickness as foam poster board. I'm not sure about the longevity of them, but it wouldn't be hard to replace them with something more substantial => Plastic rivets that hold shelves to frame are kind of useless. Overall, I really like this unit. It's much better than the all MDF ones and less expensive. Metal frames for the win!
