This is not a high tech item. It is not a Remarkable or an iPad with an Apple Pencil. However, it works great, does exactly as advertised, and is super think and light. I highly recommend the case as an add-on. It keeps extraneous marks from appearing. Put it in the case, lock the erase button, and ofd you go. Make notes on the fly, close the cover, and throw it back into your briefcase/bag/backpack. Then take a picture of the screen and it’s saved. Yes, you could do the same with paper. But, if you’re on iOS, when you save the pic in the app, it automatically goes to (in my case) OneNote. For under 50 bucks with the case, you’re good to go.

Certainly protects the board from accidental bumps, splashes, etc. All the positives that sell you on the protector are true, so I don't need to reiterate them here. But I would've liked two additional features: a liner insert holder; and a slightly upgraded clasp system. Every board comes with at least one liner sheet that has background lines or diagrams to use. This board itself doesn't have much in the way of holding the liner in place though. This protector should protect the liner as much as the board, perhaps with a sleeve the liner can slide into on the back side, whatever. As it stands, the liner still finds its way to slide around at times, which is more annoying than harmful. That's one way to improve the product. The upgraded clasp system would also improve the product by leaps and bounds, because frankly even if the clasp is a little bit stronger, it probably would hold the liner better, nixing the need for the previous feature. It's a three-point claw-style "fastener" system currently, with two fixed claws on the open side and one movable claw on the spine side. The movable claw moves easily, ostensibly to be able to get the board in and out. But in my opinion it's too easy. The spring load should be a bit stronger so that the protector doesn't slide up and down on the board, or perhaps a second movable claw on the spine side would help. Either way, that would certainly improve it as well. Overall, the product is a 3.5-4 star. With some improvement it could easily be a 5star product.

The cover is decent. I am glad I have it, but I am honestly not super impressed. I would recommend this product for now, especially if you don't have any cover, but that is mostly because I didn't see anything better. The Pro: The cover protects the screen, and gives the Boogie Board more of a book like feel, which is much appreciated. The Boogie Board came with a couple of back lining guides, the actual Boogie Board itself is transparent. This cover lets me keep all the guides without hassle. I couldn't even slide the guides into the back of the Boogie Board without slightly damaging the guides, so this cover was a great addition. The Cons: The cover only covers the screen. I was hoping for something more encasing. The cover moves around a lot so I have to adjust the Boogie Board before using it. This cover presses against the screen and will leave small smudge marks. The marks are easily erased, but can be slightly annoying if you have writing already on the board. For now, 4 stars and and worth the price.

This product is designed to fit the Blackboard Note, which has a writing area of 5.5 by 7.25 inches. (The product listing erroneously lists the width as 8.5 instead of 5.5 inches.) The cover protects both the front and back of the writing area, keeping the grid/line cards from falling out or getting damaged on the back and limiting unintended scribbles on the front. Applying pressure to the outside of the cover will still cause some marks to appear on the writing surface, although much fainter than those made by the stylus. The buttons and stylus storage are not covered by the folio cover. The magnetic areas on the back are not obstructed by the cover, although the back cover is thick enough that the magnets will probably not make contact if the back is placed against a flat surface. The cover didn't really have any instructions on how to attach it to the Blackboard Note, although it wasn't difficult to figure out. The two brackets on the right side of the cover hook around the side of the tablet, and the single bracket on the left is attached to an elastic fabric band, allowing it to be stretched out to hook around the left side of the tablet. There doesn't seem to be anything preventing the cover from being installed to open to the right instead of the left, although the embossed text on the cover would be upside-down in that configuration. This cover makes it much more convenient to carry the tablet in a backpack or bag with other objects.
