My grandson (22 months) was so excited to see it. I really like the storage box too. The figurines are quite good (though not quite proportional in size). The Zoo mat is nice, but the trees are pretty light so they have a hard time standing straight.

I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews. Perhaps the manufacturer has improved the produce since the other reviews, but I just received my kit (on sale so I paid less) and am pleased with my purchase. The animals are a litle smaller than I expected, but not too small. The zoo pad is felt and seems to be of good quality. All my animals stand up without problem as do the trees, except one, and I think if I bend it a bit it will be fine. I don't notice any sex organs on the animals and if there are extremely small and blended in. I doubt anyone would notice. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and I believe my 3 year old grandson will be too. ... show more

I ordered this for my young granddaughters since they like going to the zoo. Although I like the bright, colorful mat, the plastic animals and trees do not stand up well on the mat. The trees are very lightweight and do not stand up at all. The animals feel heavy enough, but some of them don't want to stand up. To make the trees stand up, I glued them to a small block of wood which fixed the issue. I may have to do the same thing with the animals. The storage container for this set is made of flimsy plastic which I do not foresee lasting very long. I give this set a 3-star rating because my granddaughters enjoy playing with it despite the lack of quality. ... show more
