I am from Sweden, where candles are very well made. As we dine by candlelight every night in winter, I need good quality slow-burning candles that do not drip wax on my tablecloths. I have found Bolsius candles to be a superior product and give it 5 Stars. If you keep the lit candles away from any external drafts, they are truly drip-free! These look great on a formal dining room table! They burn well and fairly slow, and add a great ambiance to your formal event. The amount in the package gives you plenty for multiple events, and for us we’re usually burning them for an entire dinner evening with guests.

Right, so now that I have your attention, I need you to know these candles have a bulbous base to them. It's not dramatic enough to really care at first sight. You see a taper candle and shrug. Great. Big deal. I grabbed my brand spanking new (to me - antique) glass gorgeous candle holder. The pride and joy of my setup. So pleased to finally have a lovely candle to nestle into it. I try to plop it in there. Nope, doesn't plop. Okay, well, maybe it's just a tight fit. I try a tiny bit harder. No. No go. Odd. Alright, I remove the tiny bit of candle I got into it and peer into the abyss of the pretty teal candle holder's hole. I stick my finger in the hole. Perhaps there's something in there like a bump or imperfection disallowing my candle from fitting. I measured it carefully before buying these candles so I know they should fit! No bumps, no strange obstructions or groves or shelves, just smooth, straight glass. Okay, maybe it needs to be put in there like.... forcibly. Kinda wiggle it down in there, ya know? So I place the candle against it again, push, not too hard, wiggle a little... and my candle holder shatters. Full on blows the entire side of it out, spraying shards of decorative glass all over my desk, monitors, into my morning coffee, and across the sugar cookie siting on my desk (which I promptly threw out because no one should eat possible glass). I sat there in shock, holding a green candle in one hand, the base of the decorative candlestick in the other, and wearing a suitably shocked look on my face. I stare down at the shards of glass stabbed into the candle. At the mess across my desk. And I finally notice... it's bulbous. Too bulbous for fragile antique candle holders to handle apparently. Took me an hour to clean all the tiny shards of glass and get new coffee made. Don't be me. Don't shove it a little harder. ... show more

We used approximately 75 of these candles at my daughter’s wedding in crystal candle holders that decorated her guest’s tables, her sweetheart table, and dessert table. They were smokeless and there was almost no dripping on the candle holders at all. What did drip, came right off. I highly recommend these to use for a wedding. ... show more

I love the color of this candle and $20 is already pushing it from 12 candlesticks in my opinion but it certainly is too much for one. It’s 12 individually wrapped candles, and I have ordered twice now and have received one candle both times. I honestly just want the other 11 candles!

These are really amazing candles! They burn inwards so you don’t get the wax dripping everywhere. They don’t flicker or smell weird. I actually DIYed them and painted small fall leaves and mushrooms and cute little things on them and all my guests were so impressed by them. I will be ordering more in more colors for sure! One did come broken but you could barely tell and it didn’t affect the burning. ... show more
