  • Good quality, not a great fit
Special Size Type: Toddler (1-4 Years) Size: 9 Toddler Color: 4h-black
These were so great unfortunately I had to return them bc they were too tight for my sons feet. I measured him too.

  • Great winter/ mud boot
Special Size Type: Little Kid (4-8 Years) Size: 13 Little Kid Color: Black
Living up north where we see frigid temp and lots of snow, these boots can with stand the freezing temps and snow. Also good for those chilly spring mud days too. My 5 year old can quickly get them on and off and keeps his toes warm!

  • Alaskan kids here: Great boots! +Durability +Warmth +Ease of donning/doffing
Our go-to boots here in Alaska. I usually get two years of wear out of these boots for my 10 and 11 yo boys. We've owned 6+ pairs of bogs and I find their limitations to be: the soles wear and get slick and they have a wear point on the heels (to be fair, we just step on the back and slide our foot out and don't actually reach down with hands and pull them off). They can be snug on the calves and yanking off with the hands has resulted in flying boots and a resultant fight between siblings. Frequently the insoles wore out quickly. Sizing is just about right. I always size up a 1/2 to 1 size. They'll loosen up a bit but not much. The pattern doesn't last - the toes and sides will wear off. They do stay mostly warm down to -30; much like any boot it depends on the socks. I gotten cold feet in these boots when I've worked outside for more than 15 minutes at temps less than -10 but that was just with regular athletic socks. Alaskans tend to be pretty skeptical of warmth ratings but these really are pretty good boots for our winters. I remain with the brand since I enjoy their durability, warmth, and ease of use. One kid whines that they can be hard to put on/take off as the calves can be snug - and we're skinny legged folks so I'd imagine a heavier kid might have trouble with these. UPDATE YEARS LATER: those boys are STILL wearing these (by choice) and I'm still schlepping out to do barn chores in mine. I have two pairs myself with fancy patterns that receive compliments from everyone (even men!). However, as Bogs age they do begin to get less waterproof. But I'm talking AGE...like 6 years or more. The neoprene develops pinholes and seams get loose; I figure that's to be expected. Also, despite what Bogs says about antimicrobial whatnot, these can and DO build up a hefty stink after a year or so. I've found that filling the entire boot up with water in the tub with any actual antibacterial cleaner and letting it sit for an hour or so then fully drying will freshen them up just fine for another 6 months or so. I've also tossed these into the washing machine with a couple of towels just to fresh them up and they've come out looking awesome. A full drying and they were back in action. I remain a loyal customer. ... show more

  • Sturdy, comfortable, dry, warm
Bottom line: I recommend these boots because of the quality material, comfort, warmth, fit, ease of putting on / taking off, accurate sizing, flexibility (as rain or snow boot) and the cute appearance. However, I have not owned these boots long enough to know how long they last or if they wear well - therefore, 4 stars. If they last through at least one or two seasons, I would give them 5 stars. Details: I have two children, ages six and almost four. I am *very* picky about their shoes and usually only buy pedipeds. For rain boots, I have been buying Western Chief Frog Rain Boot (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) . And I've been trying to find a good brand of snow boots. The kids want boots to be cute, comfortable, and easy to get on and off. I want them to be well-made and durable (to pass them down and/or resell), Not expensive (we live in Maryland; may or may not use them), and to have consistent, accurate sizing (I do all shopping online). Last year, after reading many reviews, I purchased Kamik boots.... and was very disappointed. I ended up buying three different styles and I wasn't even really pleased with the boots we kept - Kamik Rocket Cold Weather Boot (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid) Kamik Footwear Snowbug3 Insulated Boot (Toddler) So I was prepared to be disappointed this year. But I wasn't. These Bogs boots are exactly what I had expected the Kamik boots to be. You can tell they are quality boots as soon as you open the box. The material is thick and sturdy; the inside is soft and not cardboard-y. The boots were easy to put on. My four-year-old son wears size 25 EU (8.5 US) in pediped and size 9 Bogs fit him perfectly. He wore them with one pair of regular (not thick) socks and they fit with just enough room at the toe and no slipping on the heel. I bought my daughter a pair, too... she said that they are only cooler weather rain boots because they are "warm like slippers." ... show more

  • Nothing beats BOGS!
First what I didn't like: It took FOREVER for these to get here. The shipping time was ridiculous, NOTHING Prime about it. We literally had 2 blizzards and an ice storm while I waited and waited for them to even be sent. But the boots themselves are terrific. This is my 3rd pair of BOGS. The other two I literally wore holes in. Both pair took about 5 or 6 years before that happened. They keep your feet very toasty even in sub zero temps. That said, because Amazon shipping is not dependable anymore, I will buy directly from the BOGS website next time. ... show more

  • They stand up to busy & outdoor Life!! & requested Purple color
We live on 50acres in the wet southern United States. I needed something that could stand up to weather & ranch life & animals (horses cows ducks chickens) & our garden work! She had this brand a few years go & they lasted & loved them when we lived in ice. (No snow just ice). & they lasted. But $ so we had gotten them other boots but they fell apart so so quickly. So I’m back to these. I bought a full size too big. I know. Hard for running but they are so $pendy and little girls grow!! Even though I tell her to stop! We’ve had them over a month. & comically She loves them big. & PURPLE!! She’s 8 & is able to tell me that their comfortable & likes the thick sole for the rocks & the river fishing. She doesn’t care to ride in them cause their shape & don’t have a heal for the stirrups. So she’s ridden in them only once . I’m sure will grow into them soon enough. But these are the water boots. Mud boots we needed & will definitely get out moneys worth lol. Now they just need to be Steel Toed & the would be the perfect kids boot!! . ... show more
