I needed a pair of water shoes for a short hike on rain forest trails to waterfalls. I picked these Body Glove Men's 3T Barefoot Cinch Water Shoe because of all the positive reviews. Although I liked these water shoes overall (4-stars), I did choose the wrong type of water shoes for this hike, since the bottom of these 3T Barefoot Cinch have no tread and it isn't the right type of rubber for slick rocks/roots. PROS: - Having separate toe sleeves were nice for better dexterity - Having separate toe sleeves also reduced chafing of wet toes - Drainage design was worked super well - Rubber better for SUP boards, sandy/pebbly beaches CONS: - The material at the heel bunches up, so you might need to cut some out to avoid chafing - No half sizes - Rubber compound doesn't work well on slick surfaces rocks under water, wet roots, wet clay As for sizing - I wear a men's 11W in New Balance, Brooks, Salomon. I went with a size 10. The width was perfect, and the length fit like a sock (fitted). Since these are more like water socks, don't assume you'll need the "thumb" space with running shoes. I tried size 11 and they were too big. Ideally, a size 10.5 would have been perfect - but half sizes do not exist.

I like the barefoot shoe experience. I use to laugh at my bro for wearing them but they are definitely good for my feet. After a few weeks of almost daily wear I already notice stronger more flexible feet and toes. I think it helps with balance and movement too. I will be wearing toe shoes, and I recommend socks, from now on. The Body Glove shoes are well made too.

My husband has a torn ligament that caused a HUGE bunion and foot deformity (big toe pointed sideways overlapping the other toes.) This show allows him to do yoga when before he could not hold the positions or stand because it involved too much toe movement. He loves these shoes! They work as a brace and holds his big toe in the proper position so he can both balance and use his toes to grip the floor, strengthening his feet. This are amazing! Can’t say enough good things. NOTE: he accidentally wore them outside to drive in and he totally was in pain from the misalignment- so I’m only recommending for indoor use.
