Mobile is cute as can be and our daughter loves it. However, after 3 nights of use it began making a loud whirring sound that has only gotten worse night over night. We thought it may have been the batteries, but after trying 5 different battery brands, we're convinced it's just the motor going bad. We were going to try replacing it, as we believed it may just be this particular one we were sent that was defective. However, seeing other reviews now with the same issue (or one's that won't spin at all!) we're convinced that its just junk. The only reason we're not returning is because our daughter loves the toys. We will get a different mobile and attach the toys to that instead. The songs on this thing are terrible anyway, we're fortunate to have had another sound machine.

Many playyards have fabric that goes around the whole railings at the top - if you attach it to the fabric (which the whole thing is covered in) it will eventually fall and if the baby is in the playyard at the time, it will fall on the baby. This happened twice for us - both times we had just taken the baby out of the playyard and it had fallen down within a minute of us removing him. What we learned is that if we affix it to the insert for the raised/elevated bassinet portion for our specific playyard which does cover the fabric with a hard plastic, it doesn't move and doesn't fall. However, when the baby gets too big for the raised playyard/full sized bassinet insert - then we won't have the plastic to affix it to on the playyard any longer. My point in all this be mindful of where to affix it and check it daily so your baby doesn't get accidentally hurt by a slow falling mobile. My other gripe is that the toy is solely battery operated and while that can be a good thing and was a selling point, I didn't realize how fast the batteries die because how much juice gets sucked out by the mobile. So plan on having lots of batteries on hand and only use the mobile in the playyard. Or get rechargeable batteries. And the remote is a joke. You have to press the power button on the mobile to turn it on in order for the remote to even work, I don't mean flip the power switch, I mean press the secondary power button (which is also on the remote but only works to shut it off... sometimes) and half the time the remote still wont work. The batteries needed for the entire device are double A and Triple A.. no other sizes, regardless of what the description says (or box... when you open the toy, it only fits those two sizes, but the box and description was wrong). That being said - the songs it plays are great. The light show is nice, it isn't positioned well on the unit so the display is always in the wrong area even if you do reverse it to the one other way of using it. I love that it has the "Soft Kitty" song from Young Sheldon/Big Bang Theory. The planes on it are cute but the baby only sees the underbelly of it so I drew faces on the belly of the planes so he would have something to look at. The underbelly was plain before I drew faces.

This baby mobile is very sturdy and well made. The arm is strong and holds securely to the crib. Even when it gets gently pulled or moved, it doesn’t break or feel fragile. I feel comfortable knowing it’s stable and safe above my baby. The projector feature is also a nice touch and adds a calming atmosphere to the room. Overall, great quality and very durable.
