    • Smart homes are really neat!
I was given this book for free through Hidden Gems and I am choosing to give it an honest review. My five year old grandson and I love to read together. This is the second Bob the Robot book that we have read and my grandson thinks it’s cool that he gets to learn new things along with Bob in each book. In this story Bob and his family are moving to a new house and Dad tells everyone it is a Smart Home. Dad makes it a game for the kids to find the eight special features in the smart home. My grandson had a great time figuring out what the features were and learning how each worked. His favorite was the smart doorbell because you can see and talk to the person on your phone or IPAD. We don’t have any smart features in our home so each new one was exciting for him. The author does a great job of teaching kids while keeping them entertained and engrossed in the story. The illustrations as well are essential as they easily display the narrative in an engaging way. We really love the Bob books and are definitely going to read more. I highly recommend these books to elementary school kids as not only are they fun to read but you also learn something along the way. ... show more

Bob Moves to a Smart Home is such a fun book for children! Bob takes the family on a tour through their new home and helps the family find joy in their new space. At first the children are sad to move to a new place, but Bob makes it a fun experience to learn about having a smart home! The author, Ziyu, does a great job of breaking down complex ideas into bite-sized pieces for children, as she always does in her Bob the Bot series. Bob gives the children a smart-home scavenger hunt, and this is such a fun idea for parents to use when moving into any new home. Bob the Bot has some wonderful ideas for the family during move in and helps the children feel comfortable and confident in their new home. Every time I read a Bob the Bot book I believe I have learned something new. This book is also so uplifting and joyful, which is something we all could use a little more of! I highly recommend this book to families, as well as all of Ziyu Huang’s Bob the Bot books in the series! ... show more

This book was another great Bob book! These books are great for explain complicated scientific advancements to kids. Kids learn along with the kids in the book. In this book the kids learn new things about a Smart Home while on a treasure hunt to learn all the Smart Home features.

Bob Moves into a Smart Home is a fun read for kids to learn alongside the characters what a smart house entails. I liked how the parents made a game of finding things around the new house so the kids could get their minds off the move, but also learn all the cool aspects the smart home can do to make their lives easier. Bob Moves to a Smart Home is a fun book that teaches children about moving to a new house with new technologies. At first, the kids are sad about moving and leaving their friends, but Bob the Bot and the children's father make the move more exciting with a game. The book helps kids understand some of the emotions associated with moving. Bob takes a sad situation and makes it a fun game. When the kids get to their new home they have to find features to win a prize. Love how the author makes it easy for kids to understand technology.     • Bob the Bot is DA BOMB
I chose this book from an ARC program that I belong to, and I highly recommend it. I'm a "grown up kid" but still gained a good deal of know-how from the book - this is the second book Ive gotten in this series and the other one was great too - re: COVID vaccine.
