This is a great concept, but there are some installation issues that hinder its effectiveness or render it useless. First, the mirror is well constructed and includes a large viewing area. This makes it easier for the driver to watch tubers/skiers/wakeboarders, etc. It does not replace a spotter and needs to be continually adjusted to observe both sides of the wake for water sports. Upon arrival, the grip pad for my mounting bracket was loose in the box. I stuck it on to the only obvious location it should go, but after poor adhesion in the box, it was sure to be loose in the heat of the sun, which is the only place where I use my boat. This causes the mirror to move on its own when the boat is under power. What frustrated me more is the screws used for tightening the mirror to the windshield. They are just flat end screws. Nothing on the ends to protect the boat/windshield from scratches from the screws, and a very small point of contact for a friction hold. In my opinion, they should have an oversized pad on the end, like a c-clamp, with some shock absorbent material, as is present on the other side of the clamp. This will not only help hold the mirror in place better, but also prevent it from causing it to damage the surface it's mounted to, as this version does. Lastly, the knobs were hard to tighten securely since they were just circular pieces of plastic with no indentations or grooves. All these inconveniences can be replaced with off the shelf pieces present on many other items that would turn this mirror into something other than a paperweight. ... show more
