I wanted a second set of keys on case of an unexpected key loss or like in my case one year, I was riding as a passenger and for an unknown reason my pilot fell off taking the waverunner key with her into the water. I was dead in the water with no way to go back the thirty feet or more to get her. A second key on my vest would have made it easy for me to slide up to the pilot seat, start the engine and get her.
