Overall, this Support pole is pretty good. The 3 clamps that hold the extension tubes are very strong. That's the main reason I purchased this particular pole. Other support poles I've tried have the rotating tubes to lock them in position and they've been weak holding their position. But these clamp type locks are rock solid and hold under compression. Unfortunately, the tubes are capped off by a mushroom cap that is too small and VERY CHEAP plastic that breaks under any form of load. Mine broke after one night! I managed to epoxy the pieces back together and am hoping it will hold with some good quality epoxy. But I'll likely have to make my own cap out of wood or some other material that will hold up better. The size of that cap should really be larger to spread out the load to the cover as well. But if it were any larger with this cheap material, it would have cracked even sooner with the higher bearing load from the cover. VERY happy with the poles, but this really needs a better material on the top cap.

I received the base improved version。All in all, this is a good quality product and can meet my requirements. I followed the instructions to cut a hole in the cover and installed the product, which helped me get through a hurricane with my boat unscathed and holding up well. I started out with just one support pole. We have a pontoon boat at home, and I found that I needed four support poles to better support the cover and protect my boat. So I ordered another 3 one.Well made!

These are legit! They are heavy duty and should have ordered them first but I bought cheap plastic junk! Always get what ya need the first time. If you need a cover for boat, golf cart or whatever propped up then these are what you need. No disappointments.

The poles base broke off first time I used. Put screws where they connect to keep them standing. Then used a second time came to my boat with the base broke off one and the other bent. Very like water on the cover.

They might work good for areas without wind. They are not a good product for Florida. They were ruined 45 days after purchase. Three of them set up the way the were supposed to be, winds in excess of 20 mph on the wind gauge and I watched they sway back and fourth which immediately led to the "VERY LIGHT duty" legs bending like a plastic straw. They looked very good until put to the test. I would not suggest that you purchase these unless you have minimal wind in your area

I was going to wait until winter to review but have what I think is helpful information. One of my supports, out of three, already has a broken leg. These blow over easily in wind even with the cover tight. Buy the extra straps to hold them upright. Tighten the support clamps as tight as possible. I have experienced collapse of uprights in rainy situations. We'll see how they hold up this winter. My boat is 22 ft long and I use three supports. We can get 6 inches of snow maybe once a year.

For the most part this is built really well.... BUT the base has a cheap aluminum rivet that breaks under minimal stress which causes the whole thing to become unstable and collapse. Obviously rendering the purpose, its built for useless! I've reordered twice to replace ones that have broken within one or two days and just now having to send back another one (I need three for my boat). What's the purpose of engineering such a high-quality product only to fall short with stabilizing the base? Makes no sense...way of the world these days!
