  • If only it played the original music...
Style: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I bought this mostly for display, but sorta assumed this was going to be a replica of the original Data East machine. Not sure why they couldn't secure the rights for the original music, artwork, and voice samples since this is an official product. It looks at least very similar to the original one.

  • Tmnt pinball for any one...

The media could not be loaded. This is a functional pinball game. And perfect for pics with action figures. There's even sounds. Fantastic product

  • Janky as all heck, but you know what, it's pretty fun and playable.
Style: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
This is video pinball as it used to be, before today's highly sophisticated physics simulators: floaty ball mechanics, dumbed down special features, bizarre flipper behavior, etc. Which is what I expected. But I have to say, I'm impressed at the care they put into it nevertheless. They carefully reproduced the major playfield features and loops, the special modes, the multiballs, the spinning pizza. They made the marquee its whole own separate screen so they could have the interactive elements. They have a clever alternative for the plunger (hold down the button for longer to shoot harder). The flipper buttons on the side can get a little finger-cramping, so they put duplicates on the back of the unit so you can hold the whole unit. And, for better or for worse, they reproduced all of the boys' voices. Ugh. And unless I'm mistaken, unlike most of the Tiny Arcade series, it actually saves your high scores. It's not all good - the "Start Game"/"Game Over" text is hilariously blocky, like an Atari 2600 game, and it pops up on the playfield. I don't know why they didn't put it on the marquee LCD where it belonged. The ball vibrates weirdly on the habitrails. A couple times, particularly in multiball, I've had the ball just simply fall through the hinge of the flipper. But these aren't huge concerns, and they're easily laughed off. One warning for sensitive and/or young users: I've always thought the original pinball game's marquee's presentation of April was excessively sexy (she's a hero in her own right, not eye candy, darn it) but in the cut down version it looks like... uh, something else entirely. All in all, this way exceeded my expectations. And it's actually quite fun! I'm not interested in the other "boardwalk arcade" games so far, but I'd gladly buy more pinball games like this one if they're at a similar level of playability. ... show more

  • This is a very small, electronic game- but hella fun.
Style: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Works great and my (11 yr old) daughter loves it, but it should probably be advertised that it’s a handheld “pinball” machine. We expected it to be bigger. For the price, we obviously weren’t expecting it to be a massive, glass and metal ACTUAL pinball machine, but we definitely didn’t expect it to be smaller than my hand. When she was looking at all of her Christmas presents I told her, “Your pinball machine came on time!” It was sitting beside some of her other presents. It took her 10 minutes to find it because she wasn’t expecting it to be so tiny either. It was hilarious when she finally saw it! With that being said, even tiny- this thing kicks ass! She’s been wearing it out since Christmas morning and said, “this is way more fun than I thought it would be!”. Overall, pretty good! ... show more

  • Good for a Memory
Style: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
The best use for this little machine is honestly as a decoration. I love to play the game itself, but I doubt anyone's really going to sit and play this for hours. The game works well-enough, though the ball seems to misread occasionally on its position, and it moves a little slow. I also ran into a glitch one time where the ball kept shooting out of a score hole, bouncing twice, and then going back into it, racking up an impossibly high score. It looks great though, and it's perfect to sit on a showable shelf for that huge nostalgia factor. I'd say it's a good deal, and it's a great gift.... though.... maybe not for kids. They just wouldn't understand what makes it good, haha ... show more

  • Lots of fun!
Style: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
I bought this as a gift but ended up using it a ton before I actually gifted it to them. It's a lot of fun and my friend enjoys it as well. The screen is electronic, so there's no actual flippers or ball, but I don't think that takes away from how enjoyable it is. Now that I've gifted it, I'm probably going to end up buying another for myself! ... show more

  • A big winner!
Style: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
My husband bought himself a whole "tiny arcade" and is in love with it. These are all so cute and they actually work! How fun! Would highly recommend and I'm sure we'll be buying more to add to his collection.

  • Great Father’s Day Gift
Style: Whac-A-Mole
This was a Father’s Day present for my son, in his late 30’s, who is old enough to remember playing the original arcade game with his father. My grandkids thought it was for them, but my son wouldn’t let it go. It was a total hit. It was a bit pricey (hence the 4 stars in Value).
