Bought this for my husband as a birthday present and he loves it! It floats very well and has held up for the past few months. Just keep in mind, this is something to use for fun as a novelty or maybe a game for your backyard bbq's... it's not something that's geared towards improving your chipping on the links! The balls are plastic and have velcro strips, so they definitely hit differently than a real golf ball. But that being said, it's easy to set up and is really fun to play :) ... show more

I bought this as a gift. The idea is great but the product isn't. It is foam and turf glued on. Within an hour the water was creeping up onto the mat. The flags are silly and there is no actual hole, just a ring you place as one. All of the ping pong balls are covered in velcro. I think it would be nice to have both that do stick and those that don't especially for the price of $43. The 2nd time we brought the set out the turf ( more like felt) had separated and we had to hot glue it back together...which worked, but again we only used it once before. I would look for a similar product maybe by a different brand. ... show more

We had it no longer than 10 minutes in our pool and it came apart. The glue washed away with it. You cannot buy extra balls at time of purchase or after. I called the manufacturer when I was placing the order but they do not sell them nor can you buy them on line from any other vendor. They don't exist so you would have to make your own. It was a good idea, only wished the manufacturer put more quality and thought into it. We did enjoy the 10 minutes we had. ... show more

Nice quality mat, and much nicer than a similar product I purchased last year. The Velcro balls really stick tight on contact, but sadly in the first use the Velcro rings started to pop off the plastic balls. Overall, we are using this and like the quality of the product, despite this issue with that balls. The Velcro can be put back on, but does continue to pop off with use. ... updating this review... the vecro does not stay on the balls so basically it isn't usable any more. Also the surface green is pulling off of the foam. ... show more

    • Worked great for about a week
Worked great out the box, once it flattened down. It was fun in the pool, although the skimmer kept pulling it over, an anchor or tie would really have helped. The reason for the low rating was durability. I noticed it was a little "sticky" after the first day in the sun and didn't think much about it. After the next couple of sunny days, the glue holding the felt down to the rubber pad had melted and shifted. Now the felt has "speed bumps" in it. It is still functional, but we'll see how it makes it after the rest of the summer. ... show more

    • Very cute but warps easily
Great gift, well made, balls velcro very easily to the green! But it warps easily and the top will come off in high heat. I live in Texas, and by the mid morning one day the grass was sliding off the foam. I guess it would be fine if it had not been subjected to the heat, but still.

Thought this was a great buy but quickly learned why price had been reduced. The "green" carpet pulled away from the base, one of the flags broke in half within an hour, and the velcro covered plastic golf balls quickly were destroyed. Not as fun as I thought it would be.
