I liked this product because it does the job- mineral sun protection without a white caste, BUT I use this daily and my skin is for sure greasy looking from start to finish. When I use a powder foundation on top of it, it definitely helps but still leaves a heavy feel. The plus side is that I have acne prone skin, and this sunscreen hasn't broken me out. I specifically ordered this product in addition to a regular “all over” sunscreen because I’d hoped it would be less noticeable on my face. After application you can definitely tell it’s on — there’s a very oily look and a hint of whitish residue. That being said, it does protect well against the sun and I haven’t had any breakouts since using it. If I put a powder on afterwards it’s less noticeable, but this is definitely more for “I’m going on a walk/run/gardening” and less “I’m out and about doing errands and seeing people”. ... show more

    • Doesn't sting eyes at the beach
This face sunscreen works great, and doesn't sting eyes when in the salt water. I applied to my eyelids, and under my eyes, and it didn't sting at all. Used at the beach, and kept me sunburn free.

I have sensitive skin and was always scared of sunscreen because of the breakouts. I tried another mineral sensitive sunscreen that still broke me out because it was really thick. This one hasn’t. I even forgot my face wash while out of town recently and had to sleep with it on. No issues!

    • Blue Lizard Never Dissapoints
This is a very nice mineral sunscreen.One of the main things that I struggle with when I put on facial sunscreen is that it burns the heck out of my eyes and leaves them bloodshot! I switched to this one from the aveeno protect hydrate 60 spf hoping that I would not have that same issue. This sunscreen does not burn my eyes! Even when I am washing it off at the end of the day, it does not burn which is great! So if you are looking for a sunscreen that does not burn your eyes, this is it! As far as coverage goes, it does leave a white cast upon application but after a few minutes of rubbing it in, it blends in well with the skin. The sunscreen has a very runny consistency, so it is easy to spread. It gives your face a shiny look that can look oily, but I don't mind that. So far, I have not seen any new blemishes from using this sunscreen. My skin feels smooth. I have only been using this sunscreen for about a week so it could change. I think the only off-putting thing about it is the smell. It smells kind of like glue or playdough. It's not super overpowering but you definitely get a whiff of it every so often throughout the day.
