It is blinding, like when you look away you get tracers like from a camera flash. It would be good to add a dimmer switch... > BUY AGAIN? I really liked this item for my 6 year old daughter. Such a wonderful way for a child to express themselves. The quality is very and includes a great selection of colorful letters and emojis. Only one caution, the item comes with two dry erase markers and the first thing my daughter did with these is write on the Light Box. When she tried erasing what she had written, she had a hard time. I then read the manual and cleaning instructions. I was able to get the bottom section clean but not the rest. Not sure if the screen was defective. While the manual does not state it, I would suggest not using the dry erase markers to write on the light box. Not a guarantee that it will come off clean.

Bought this for my niece's 11th birthday and am So happy to say she Loves it! As her mother said, "She loves it!" 11 is kind of a hard age to shop for, not actually young child, and not at all teen!
