I was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I use an injectable medication that helps me feel considerably better, but I am still figuring out how well it is working to control my blood glucose. I selected this meter for the extremely reasonable price point (currently discounted to under 14 dollars) and the small size, so I can get a reading at work. I had gestational diabetes twice, so I am familiar with the drill of testing even if the diagnosis is new. I don't love the style of lancet included, but it absolutely works. For my purposes, the bundle is great. What this set may not be is a solid long-term tool. I haven't needed to purchase additional test strips yet, and I don't want to spend the money if I don't need to, but I don't see strips listed by this brand. I believe that the Glucoracy test strips also sold on this site may work with this device. Until I know for sure if that is true, I am reserving a star in case the usefulness of the device ends with the supply of included test strips.

If you’ve ever been tired of fiddling around with overcomplicated gadgets just to check your blood sugar, this little kit feels like someone finally thought about people with actual lives to live. You pop in a strip, hit the button, and boom — numbers you can actually see without squinting. The screen’s big enough that you don’t have to play “guess the reading,” and it’s set up for one-handed action, which is clutch if you’ve got a coffee in the other. The lancets don’t feel like medieval torture tools either. You can tweak the depth, so you’re not punching a hole in your finger every time. For me, I keep it in my work bag, and I’ve done tests in my car, in the breakroom, and even in line at the bank — it’s that quick. No code strips mean less nonsense to remember, which is perfect when your brain’s already juggling a million things. The memory is wild — 500 readings with dates and times means you can scroll back and see how last week’s late-night pizza actually treated you. If you’re sharing numbers with your doctor, it’s all right there, no scrambling for scraps of paper. And the case keeps it all together. No loose strips floating around your purse or backpack. Everything’s got its place, which means you’re way less likely to lose the tiny stuff that costs more than gold per ounce.

Monitor is junk. The monitor keeps reading EU so I bough a new battery and it still won’t read. Don’t purchase!!!!

The monitor seems accurate and very fast. Extremely easy to use. Everything comes with it that you would need. However, there is one huge issue! I can’t find additional test strips for the monitor!! It comes with 50 test strips but once those are gone, the monitor will be useless. I’ve searched on Amazon and the Web to no avail. Very disappointing for what would have been an excellent purchase.

Not all glucose meters are very accurate. As long as they're in the 'area' of what you blood sugar levels are, it's acceptable for most brands. But this little kit was surprisingly on target 6 out of the 7 tests I ran through! I'm on a Libre 3 glucose monitoring system. It's like a patch with a small sub-dermal needle which i can use my phone to check my blood sugar all the time without needing to prick a body part for a blood samples. So I used it to verify the accuracy of this glucose monitoring kit. I recieve the same numbers on both except for 1 test (which had a variance of 2 points... I was 174 on my Libre 3 while the Glucose kit showed 176). Futher the kit came with everything needed. While some glucose kits do, many do not or they may come with a small amount of needles or test straps just so you can use your monitor while awaiting an order of either. This kit, however, came with atleast a month's with I've everything! I was pleasantly surprised! Setting up the needle within the pen is easy, and you won't need to set the depth for the needle to be deep. The monitor requires a very VERY small blood drop in order to register your blood sugar. From size to ease of use, this little glucose monitor kit was pretty perfect in my opinion. I'd recommend it to anyone of my Diabetic peers out here.

I ordered this when my insurance wouldn’t cover either option for traveling, and this one looked like a good deal. It works just as well as my current one, which cost five times more. It comes with plenty of test strips, but getting replacements is a bit harder since you can’t just pick them up at the local pharmacy. Other than that, it’s a great little meter for the price.
