I recently got my hands on the Blackhound Genesis 6-24x50mm rifle scope, and I must say, it's an impressive piece of equipment. The scope features exceptional glass clarity, making it easy to get a clear view of your target even in low light conditions. While the reticle is certainly well-designed and easy to use, the thickness of the lines can make it difficult to make very precise shots at very long ranges. However, this is a common trade-off with many scopes, as thicker reticle lines often provide better visibility and aim in low light conditions. So while the reticle lines may be a little thick for precision shooting, they do offer excellent visibility and ease of use in a wide range of shooting situations. This scope would better suit your hunting rifle. The overall value of this package is something to make note of. I was impressed with all that was included for this price point. Most companies just include the scope and a cleaning cloth. While the reticle lines may not be ideal for very precise shooting, they are still very effective and offer great visibility in a range of shooting scenarios. ... show more

The Blackhound arrived today and I immediately had to ooen it. The factory box is nice to look at from the outside and was not cheaply done. Inside the box is where the quality really shows off starting with the QA checklist on the lid that was hand filled out, dated and signed in ink. The components in this package rivals that of any other scope twice the price of this unit and I would say it is the quality of many popular $1k brands. The optics are very impressive with no vinetting at all edge to edge, min to mag range and bright and clear glass. The parallax is spot on as well The controls are solid and positive, yet with distinct quiet turret stops. My opinion is quite simple. Get one for yourself !!! You wont be disappointed in the least. I have an Athlon Argos gen 2 6-24 btr ffp and this is every bit as good in every catagory. 5 stars from me ... show more

After the last few seasons of falling short in my Mule deer honey hole. I bagged a 29in 4x4 opening morning. I've been using a Vortex Viper and for whatever reason I couldn't connect at reasonable distances. Even sent it back to vortex and they gave me a new one. But I still wasn't confident, so after much research I decided to try Black Hound. It's got everything you need and most important to me is the FFP/First Focal Plane. (If you don't know what that is, look it up) Opening morning about 1hr 20 in, Freezing cold and rain didn't change anything with the scopes performance. When he dropped I was so happy. I've taken steady similar shots with my previous scope and the deer doesn't flinch. Needless to say I was frustrated. I have no doubt my new Black Hound optics contributed. This scope is badass! Unless you're an optics snob you won't regret giving Black Hound a shot. ... show more

I have several scopes in this price range, and this is the clearest of them all. So far, it has held true on the 6.5-.284 on which it is mounted. The scope is as clear as some much more expensive models that I also own. I would compare it to a Vortex Viper that I have on another rifle. I have Athlon Argos and a few others that are comparably priced, and this is much clearer than any of them ... show more

As a former Army sniper and avid long range hunter I am more than surprised at the value this optic represents. As a guy raised on Leopold I could be a bit snobby about my glass. I ordered the 6x24 FFP Mil Dot to mount on a creedmore which is also a change for me from my traditional 7.62 (308) fetish. Nice to get the entire package in one box, dust covers, rails, mounting tools, nice rings even two levels to help mount it quickly. Got it zeroed in 5 rounds at 200m and shot another 5 groups at sub 1 moa. The sight stayed zeroed after 50 rounds and three trips to the range, at 55 I needed the power to reach our to 900 meters and beyond and this optic gets the job done. American made in Texas its my choice to a budget setup hands down. ... show more

Extremely impressed with the quality of the glass and overall build. I'm running a budget Remington 700 build trying to spend as little as possible while getting the most out of every part I buy. So far no issues at all. Extremely easy to adjust, holds zero well, and i've shot out to 600yds, and at that distance the target is extremely easy to see clearly. Would easily expect this scope to go for $800-1000 so very happy with the price I paid. Looking forward to see how well it holds up at 1,000yds+. ... show more

Very robust scope, 30mm tube, 6-24 x 50mm objective, target turrets, amazing tracking repeatability, sunshade and rings included. Just incredible! What I got in the box was so much more than what I expected. 24 hours later and I still have a giddy feeling inside. I cannot wait to use it.
