I absolutely love the razor!! I just got into straight razor shaving about two months ago and before I got this one I was using the crappy $5 straight razor u usually buy at a dollar store with the slide out loading feature...this blade is so much heavier and u can feel the high quality materials it’s made out of, not cheap plastic and crappy steel like the dollar store straight razors at all, only thing I’m still getting use to is loading this razor, on mine it’s a bit tricky to get the blade to sit in it right, but once it’s in it’s in there good, and the shave is so much smoother than my old cheap one, only thing I would change is I wish they still had the pure black model with the gold locking lever, as far as I’m aware they are the only ones who sell the black widow razors on amazon and I had the black one in my cart to purchase when I had the money to and I went to purchase it and it was labeled “sold out we don’t know when or if this item will be available again for purchase”, so I had to look for another color and thankfully they still have the black and chrome model that I gotten but still the all black would have been better, please bring it back barber toolz, other than that u will not be disappointed if u purchase this razor

Used it for a week, and I am a convert. Best razor i have ever used. Light years better than a slide out shavette. Buy it and you get 100 blades! 200 shaving edges x 3 uses an edge thats 600 shaves! Gillette cant beat that. No one can! Get. The. Black Widow. Today.

The quality, appearance, and weight of the razor stood out from the get go. The only drawback is that the heel of my razorblade wasn't secure and was able to be easily pulled out, forcing me to push it back in place from time to time. I was still able to use the razor but had to be cautious when wiping the blade off during use.

Excellent product. I bought two shavettes when I got into wet shaving. This one was a much better shave for me BECAUSE it has more blade than normal exposed. It helped me to see what I was doing and to let it slide down easier. It's got a good weight, and a good feel in the hand. If you want a perfect beginner razor that you could use always I would recommend this one. Just remember to really take your time and go slow! Also I used the shark blades in it so that's the blade I would recommend as well.

Don't buy this. The gap between the edge of the blade and the clasp that holds the blade is unnecessarily large and goes past the edge itself - like 2mm - so if you accidentally cut yourself, it'll be deep. The construction is nice and solid, too bad it seems to be designed to cause an injury. I've been using a straight razor for about a year and a 1mm cut is a lot different than a 2 mm cut. My 10$ straight razor is uglier and has a worse grip but at least with that one I won't bleed to death if I accidentally cut myself.

It’s a great product! I’ve been straight razor shaving for 5-6 years now and only used one other straight razor handle. I decided to get a new one, not that there was anything wrong with the other one but I did want something else. What can I say, you can’t and will not get anything better for the price. The black widow straight razor is in the same price range as the one I previously used. However, the quality is vastly superior. It has some nice weight to it. I really like how it exposes a tad bit more of the razor. I want to get another one just because I love it that much!! Great investment!! Not to mention that it comes with blades for that price, my old one didn’t! It’s a must buy!

Much better than my previous shavette. This is a little heavier than the one I was previously using, as it used the tension of the frame to hold in a plastic clip to secure the blade. Over time, the blade would slip, and worse, the fit wasn't tight enough to prevent lather and hair from creeping up into the clip. Gross. Black Widow required a little figuring out (I initially tried to slide the blade between the arms of the shavette, then I recalled the picture and had a much easier time of placing the blade). The metal construction of the shavette gives me the heft of a straight razor, but I get the (IMHO) closer shave of a disposable blade. No stropping or honing!
