Great read. It opened my eyes of the tragic and forever path that African American or black american had to travel prior to 1865 to present day America. Post slavery had deliberate obsticals in place by manufacturing laws to create roadblocks for success. Murders and penalties in place and put in place to coincide with laws and attitudes of hate to deny any progress of the black race of people. Every new immigrant was catapulted above the black race upon entry into America. How can any intelligent person deny reperations for this race of people who have systematically been blocked in progress longer than Jews or Japanese who have received reparations for their tragedies. This book is a riveting wake-up call to the hate that still underlying in this country. It is percolating towards something far more worse than a civil war. ... show more
