  • Inspired by the Lamborghini LP 570-4 limited edition (Software help below)
Color: RT Alpine White Advance
I've had my fair share of opening my boards for the first time and getting that sudden dopamine hit, but this one just hit different. This thing is flat out gorgeous and between the comfortable wrist wrest (goodbye wooden one that I always had to adjust), and the smooth, light, linear magnetic switches, it feels like you're one with the board. I added a new set of keycaps but the ones that came on the board are quality doubleshot PBT caps with clean legends and edges. All this with the gasket mounts and this thing sounds as good as it looks. I will say, the screw in stabilizers are nice, but they are a tad overlubed. You can easily wipe a lot of it off with a q-tip if this is the case for you as well. I had a hard time choosing between the black and the white because I'm a sucker for carbon fiber, but the white matched my setup better. I'd love to see them sell the wrist plates separately for more customizable options. The Alpine version with the carbon fiber plate would look awesome!!!!! I reached out to Angry Miao a couple times with questions and they replied to me very quickly and they were very attentive and determined to answer any and all of my questions or concerns each time. These days I'm really grateful for companies who provide this quality of customer service. Their site says the Alpine is inspired after the Lamborghini LP 570-4 limited edition while the Shadow Crimson is inspired after the Lamborghini Aventador S. The software for the board was a little difficult to find. I tried going through AM's site first with no luck, but ended up finding it on the dry studio site. Scroll down a bit until you find RT Admin Software which they made just for the BD75 If it doesn't open, make sure to launch with admin and it will start right up. The UI is very clean and user friendly You can make different profiles and each one has 4 layers. Below the RT Admin Link is the firmware update tool and the link to the latest firmware below that. These were not in English so I select the bottom left button because the right one was grayed out, selected the AM75 app bin file from my downloads, and clicked the right button afterwards. It downloaded the firmware and I was good to go! At this price point, and especially if you get it during a sale, this is the best bang for you buck in my opinion when you bundle up the attention to detail, the quality, functionality, and their customer service. ... show more

  • Glitchy, Missing sound wheel and print screen.
The keys feel beautiful, and the keyboard is a work of art. It's heavy, so it won't move/slide anywhere. However, the light is glitchy. After a week, the keyboard starts to feel less like a keyboard and more like an art piece. If you're planning to use this as an art piece you barely touch, I recommend it. If you're planning on using this as a 24/7 work keyboard, that's up for debate. I waited a few months before buying this keyboard, so I was extremely excited when I got it. However, I got pretty bored after a week. I also miss certain features, such as the Print Screen button for snapping images and the sound wheel. I didn’t realize how much I’d miss those features until I used this keyboard. It's an amazing keyboard, just not to my taste, and I'd recommend giving it its own software to better integrate with users' computers. ... show more

  • My first Angry Miao and my first hall effect keyboard.
Color: RT Shadow Crimson Advance
I wish it came with a manual and some extra tools like extra keycaps, keycap puller, switches, and etc.. I have never received a box of keyboard with literally just a keyboard and a cable in it until now lol but who cares. Squeeze in just a little bit of lube in these stabilizers and its a 5 stars. nothing less. ... show more

  • Drop in quality from the original BD 75
Color: RT Shadow Crimson Advance
I bought the original Black Diamond 75 when it was on pre-sell a few years ago. Loved the keybaord. Looked great, sounded amazing, and best typing experience from all of my keyboards. When I bought the original Black Dimond on pre order, I think it was a 350. Very expensive for a keyboard, but this was also what they would call an "endgame keyboard". And that was true. The keyboard is still my fav one I own. Then when I saw the RT magnetic in a red colorway. I pulled the trigger thinking it was going to be similar to my BD75, but in a new colorway, that I liked, and magnetic switches. I thought it was weird that this newer version of the keybaord was only 200 bucks, says on sale but who knows. First one that showed up had a bad usb-c port. It would keep disconnecting from windows. No big deal, ordered a replacement from amazon and got it a few days later. This one worked..... for about 2 days. Then all the LED's on the keyboard went out, except for F1-F8 I think. All others dead. Reset to default, nothing, reinstall firmware, nothing. At this point I am done with it and sending it back for a full refund. Sad to see such a great initial keyboard get cheapened like this Good: * Visually it looks amazing. The carbon fiber wrist rest, plexiglass top, leaf spring mount looks super cool and what you would expect to see if like Lamborghini made a keybaord Bad: * QC issues, two dead keyboards in a row with different issues, For the price, not acceptable. If this was a 20 dollar keyboard, I could forgive 2 bad keyboards. But for 200 bucks, you need to have your QA figured out. * Leaf-springs are SUPER stiff. As in they barley move at all during typing. You really need to press down to get it to flex at all. I'm sure this has something to do with magnetic switch since I have noticed that as a common theme so far with hall effect/magnetic keyboards are all stiff. * Included switches do not feel good at all and keys that have stabilizers (spacebar, left shift, enter, etc) are noticeably harder to press. This makes for an inconstant typing experience * Sound while typing is not pleasant either, though that is subjective. I could forgive this is this was a cheaper keyboard, but this is one of the most expensive hall effect/magnetic keyboards out there. You dont get to charge a premium price like that and NOT be premium. OG Black Diamond is still good though IMO. ... show more
