Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose a Bissell machine because I have had one in the past and wanted a Bissell again. Also, the price was reasonable. I bought this machine in June of 2025. However, I did not unbox or use the shampooer until July 5, 2025. I had to make sure that it worked before my return window closed from Amazon. First I vacuumed well. Then I followed the instructions and cleaned two areas. One on the wall to wall carpet where I had some water stains from plant drippings. The 2nd area I cleaned was on a 5x7 rug in the bathroom -- 2 different types of carpets. Both areas/carpets came out clean. There is always a learning curve to know how long or how often to press the spray trigger. It does seem to spray quite a bit of water/solution. Make sure you do many dry passes to pull up the excess wet solution. As the directions clearly state, "make dry passes by pushing machine forward and back and across carpet until water can no longer be seen through the nozzle." This is important to make sure your carpet does not stay too wet. In other words, GET YOUR FINGER OFF THE SPRAY TRIGGER! Ease of use: The instructions are well written and picture displays may help a first time user. Pictures made assembly clear, but it is really simple to "snap" the pieces together. The machine comes with 2 different 8 oz. bottles of cleaner to try. = nice touch, Bissell. The machine is very light weight once it is out of the package. I am glad I had it delivered instead of picking it up at a department store. Easier for this older woman. One small issue is the On/Off button. It is encapsulated in a plastic housing. A bit confusing. I searched the instructions to see if I was supposed to pry off the plastic housing. Apparently not. Please take note, this machine DOES NOT come with upholstery attachments This small machine does the trick for my small dwelling. If you have a large home, maybe consider a larger machine. This one is great for my 3 rooms and small enough to store in the closet -- right next to the vacuum cleaner. I hope this machine lasts for years to come. I will report back if it does not. ... show more

This is a great little machine. Easy to use, not heavy or cumbersome. It has to be emptied often, so probably not for really big carpeting. Does a great job, and I love that all the working parts come apart for easy cleaning, something that I couldn’t do with my last machine.

I just received this carpet cleaner and used it right away. It was easy to put together. I love how compact it is and there's plenty of cord to move about the room. The price and size does not take away from its power. It cleaned the areas of my carpet that were bugging me and then some! It really did a great job. The water tank emptied fairly quick but it wasn't a bother since it's so easy to remove. Taking it apart to empty and clean was easy, as well. So far, it's $130 well spent. ... show more

I haven’t used it just yet, but it was easy to put together, I was done in 5 min. It’s very compact so should be easy to store. I love the smaller sized cleaners. UPDATE!!! This little machine packs some power! I was very satisfied with how well it cleaned! It doesn’t leave your carpet soaked.

Carpet Cleaner for Pets by Bissell works great, I have both their pet vaccuum and the carpet shampoo machine now and they make great products! This carpet machine was easy to use, lightweight, works well and is easy to clean afterwards. Comes with Pet Urine Shampoo and Anti Bacterial Cleaner. I love the smell of the pet shampoo, it really freshens up the stale rug and pet smells and took the urine from around the litter box I have been scrubbing and enzyming to no avail right out of the rug. I am quite happy with this little machine!! The only change I would recommend is to make the power button more accessible, like the pedal that you engage for tipping back to push, so its easily turned on and off with your foot. I find this too far to reach and more difficult to flip on and off. Other than that, no complaint! Highly recommend! Really takes the layers of filth out of your carpet and makes it clean, fresh and new again! ... show more

Easy to assemble as well as fill solution and empty container. Great value. Smaller capacity for solution but receptacle is much larger. Did a great job on my carpet. You will need to purchase more solution as it comes with a small amount of cleaning solution to cover approximately a room 15’ x 16’ which has a king bed in it but nothing else. ... show more
