This Birkenstock slide on slipper was a disappointment for me. I have normal feet, a little flat. I previously owned the 1 strap slipper in size 36 and I currently own the double strap also in a 36. Both of those fit me well. I purchased this slide in slipper for its height and comfort. I bought the same size and I couldn't get my feet in! It wouldn't slide in till the bottom so the sole pressed on the wrong parts of my feet. I wear birks daily and have wanted these wedges for ages. I finally went for it but didn't anticipate quite how narrow this narrow shoe would be. They do get more comfortable, the more you wear them but I could barely get them on at first. I always wear a 41 in birkenstock but this shoe is, as advertised, very narrow! This is such a pretty shoe. Exactly what I want for skirts and nice pants. Good quality leather upper. And I love the wedge heel. The size I ordered (8) was a bit smaller than my usual (8 1/2 or 9), even a narrow width and my feet are slightly on the wide side. I thought surely they would fit based on other reviews saying the upper is a bit loose. Well, they were a good fit for the length but had a very loose leather upper. I know this is marked as a “narrow” shoe- however many reviews said it would work for wider feet. That was not the case for me- sending back! The quality is evident and style is super cute though. The box and shoe did not say Birkenstock- it said Papillio.

These are then most comfortable wedges I have ever worn. I bought true to size and they are perfect. I could easily walk a mile in these shoes. No complaints with the width. I wear a size 9 M and they fit fine.

I cannot believe how much I love these birks! I am an avid birkenstock wearer due to planter fasciitis and the need for true arch support. I tend to wear the Gizah and Arizona's the most. I have been looking for a style that was more dressy and these are perfect. The black is more of a shiny charcoal and I think it's gorgeous.
