I haven’t been able to wear flip flops due to having extremely high fallen arches from having EDS. I was excited to find waterproof Birkenstocks because they are one of the few sandals that actually support my feet and don’t cause additional pain. These are perfect! My feet relaxed as soon as I put them on… like a full body sigh of relief. Looking forward to breaking them in and being able to wear Birks in the rain, to the beach, etc.

When I first bought these, I wore them for 4 hours. They were soooo uncomfortable! My friends told me that’s because they are molding to your feet. 3 days later SOOO COMFORTABLE!!! I wore them all summer. Best of all, just rinse them off if they get dirty.

I am a full size womens 12 in sandals. These fit, but my 4th toe rubs a little on the side which can irritate it after a while. The rubber can rub a bit too on the straps when wet, but I think that’s any rubber sandal when wet. They have good support and fit my need for a beach sandal so I deal with the ‘cons’ of them. Wish they had a tiny bit more room in the toes so I could justify buying another Birkenstock style rubber sandal for next summer. Oh well.

What can I say, they speak for themselves. I’ve been wearing their brand for several years now. I can’t say enough good about them. The way their made really help feet problems. I’m flat footed plus have heel spurs and this brand has done wonders for my foot problems . When I first got the heel spurs it brought tears to my eyes it hurt so bad.when I found this brand of shoes it changed my hole world. They saved the day so to speak.

Love these shoes!!!!!!! My foot doctor told me my arches have fallen and to stop going barefoot especially inside the house. I use these shoes inside only. This is my 2nd pair as I wore the first ones out. I didn't realize how much I walk inside in 2 years.

These Birkenstocks are very comfortable and so light weight. You don’t know you’re wearing them. I wear them in the house since we take our shoes off when we enter. I have mostly tile and some hard wood floors and when standing and walking for a while my feet begin to hurt. I would purchase these again when they wear out.

UPDATE: After being on my feet while fixing supper I started having major pain in my feet. The arch support started feeling like I was standing on a large rock. Sigh! I had such high hopes for a pain free shoe...finally. ********************************************* To understand my joy I have to share the pain. I'm an older woman with Plantar fasciitis, neuropathy, heel spurs and other issues that make me feel like I'm walking on bone. 'My go to shoes' were Crocs Athens flip flops TILL they stopped making them. Let me back up a wee bit, they changed them THEN stopped making them. At one time they have a firmness much like these Birkenstock's BUT then they changed what they are made of and as soon as you stood up it squished down like a marshmallow! So the support was gone and then instead of fixing the problem they stopped making this shoe. The ONLY reason I wore that style was the thicker heel. The thinner styles are painful. So, for the past 6 months or more I have ordered so many shoes online.....only to send them back. I finally ordered these Birkenstock's and my feet smiled (insert heavenly music here)! The ONLY problem is the sizing is a little different and these are about a size too large AND the right toe post hurts a bit. After holding them up, the right is back more towards the heel slightly. BUT the shoe itself is pure heaven, it's firmer like Crocs used to be. I'll change out this size and never buy anything but Birkenstock's again. Thank you so much for giving me back the ability to walk without excruciating pain again.
