Milano, black sling-back style sandals from Birkenstock are a true revelation. Created out of Birko-Flor, non-leather material with a leather like finish and felted backing. Double face upper is durable and breathable. Felted interior creates pleasant cushioning and moulds to the shape of the foot. Strappy sandals provide perfect fit thanks to 3 adjustable points with a buckle style closure. Made in Germany, men's slides are free of harmful substances. Strappy sandals have iconic, anatomically shaped insoles which are a trademark of Birkenstock footwear. Covered with breathable suede, footbeds feature sustainable, oak cork and natural latex which are flexible and shock absorbent. Additional layer of Jute fibres makes footbeds moisture repellent and long lasting. Moulded heel-cup and side rim provide stable foundation to the sides and heel bone. Naturally shaped arch support ensures even weight distribution and promotes correct posture. Healthy sandals have raised toe bar for improved natural grip and metatarsal support. Beach sandals sit on the shock absorbent EVA sole with traction pattern which will secure grip on variety of surface.

I have two pairs of these plastic Birkenstocks and wear them all of the time. I have this black pair, and another in a gold tone. I take them on most of my out of town trips because you can wash them easily and even wear socks with them if it’s cold. But they’re a great alternative to slippers when you need something that can get wet. I’ve read that they can shrink if left out in the heat or sunshine, so I’m careful about that. But I wear them out in the Arizona sun and they are fine when you’re wearing them. I’ve taken them to Hawaii multiple times and had them on a covered porch with no problems. They do sometimes suction on my arch and you can hear it when you walk when they do that and that can be a bit awkward…lol! But the more I wear them, the less that has happened. Not sure if it’s how I’ve learned to walk with them on, or if the plastic is slightly worn a bit. That does seem to be a design flaw that could be looked at by the company, for sure! But I love that they are lightweight, easy to travel with and they seem to hold up to a lot of wear and tear. The buckles adjust and stay put, and I like that feature as well. ... show more

I love Birkenstock shoes. It fits my needs in that they are very sturdy, the last a long time, and the prices are good especially when you use last chance which I always do. These particular sandals generally do not go on last chance so $44 I can't remember the exact price is a great deal

    • One size down from your regular shoes. These are made out of foam and are not leather.

I wear size 7 men’s in any other brand and after researching I sized down one full so instead of getting a 40N, I got a 39N. They fit like a glove. Keep in mind these sandals come in Narrow width and Regular width. So if you have a more narrow foot, go with Narrow, if you have a wider foot, go with Regular. As far as the sandals go, they’re great and are super comfortable. They have good arch support and the straps help you adjust them to however you want them to fit. I also really like how they hug your feet so they don’t flop around like flip flops but still let your feet breathe. I can’t speak for durability but so far I’m very satisfied with them. They’re made of foam but they seem durable. However, I don’t expect them to last me a lifetime. I highly recommend them. One more thing, like I said, they’re made out of foam so they’re extremely light weight. ... show more

My sister had these shoes and I was obsessed so I bought a pair. The only word of caution is that since half sizes aren't listed I bought an 8, assuming it would be a 38 as that's usually a 7.5/8 depending on the brand. I can say for certain that a 7 is NEVER a 38 so I sized up. I am always a 38 and I was disappointed to receive a 39. I should have tried to exchange them but I bought them for a vacation and I didn't have time to exchange. They are a little big but so comfortable. They are the most supportive sandals I own so I'd definitely recommend them if you will be doing a lot of walking. ... show more

I've had these shoes for, forever and boy are they great. If you see me around and not at work I'm probably wearing these. I'm all for sustainability and boy are these great for that. I'm considering buying a new pair for next summer because mine are about all worn out. I bought the narrow width in a size 40 because that's what my other Birks are, and they fit perfectly. The straps are adjustable. I have them on the last hole for my flat feet, which makes them stay on just fine. I like the monochrome black look too. I've been breaking them in inside, but I cannot wait to wear them outside at the lake this summer! I don't anticipate tripping over them and breaking off the front part like others have said just because they fit like a glove. Maybe the others should have sized down? I guess only time will tell. The price was right too. Update! I've now had these shoes for over six months and I wear them literally every day. I love them that much! They are still in great shape, save for some obvious wear on the bottoms from use. I have still never caught the toe on the ground while walking. I lovingly refer to the shoes as my 'Birkencrocs' as they are just as comfy, supportive, and durable, but soo much cuter than Crocs imo. And they float! ... show more
