I've worn Birkenstocks for more than 40 years. I own three pairs at a time: one for going out; one for around the house; one for working in the garden. As each pair ages, I pass it down to the next level of use until the sole of the garden pair has worn all the way through (this process takes a number of years!) and then I toss out that pair and buy a new dress pair. I wear no other kind of shoes. I love the support, the ease of use (they slip on; they grip; they slip off only when you want them to!) and most of all the comfort! DAYS LATER: I just now read all the negative reviews. . . . .No, these are not the same as the original Birks, but they also don't cost as much. I have no problem with the straps, or the fit (contrary to the reviews by other users), or the indentation, etc. etc. I've been wearing my new pair for several weeks now, and still have no complaints. I chose these BECAUSE they are cheaper than the other Birkenstock models, so I did not expect the same materials. They fit great, however, and I would buy them again (barring any unforeseen developments. . . .) ... show more

I ordered Narrow. The box was not narrow but there was a sticker off to the side that said narrow. I don’t believe these were narrow fit because I’ve had narrow berks before and didn’t have to nail in extra holes. I didn’t return because I felt like it would’ve been a hassle. I just made my own extra holes but it would’ve been nice to get exactly what I ordered. ... show more
