This unique combination of being ultralight yet high in oil is made possible by Bio-Oil’s pioneering ‘shake before use’ formulation. Bio-Oil Body Lotion has been formulated to hydrate and replenish mild everyday dry skin, helping to maintain the skin’s natural moisture balance. It supplements the skin’s natural oils which can be stripped away by factors such as extreme weather, water with high chemical content, frequent bathing and the drying effects of central heating and air conditioning. It helps lock in moisture and reduces the rate at which water vapour is naturally lost through the skin’s surface. I purchased this because the oil seemed too greasy. When I tell you this works, it WORKS!! I had a bruise under my breast and I start applying once it healed and it doesn’t even look like a bruise been there. Makes your skin soft and has no smell at all. As the bottle states it all natural ingredients and I believe it to be. Product is great. Wish the bottle size came in a bigger size so I don’t have to buy more every other month or when I’m out. Hmmm… idk what to think about this product but it’s sorcery! I love a good moisturizing lotion and I love my butters with petroleum and thickness. This is the complete opposite of that. I absolutely love the oil, so I was excited to try the lotion. Even after reading the reviews, I wasn’t expecting the lotion to be this watery. But, wow, I applied just a little bit on my hands and it perfectly moisturized my hands with no residue or left behind excess product. This stuff is amazing! There’s no scent, fragrance or dyes. Seems to do just what it says. I made sure I shook it up before application. My only gripe is that it’s pricey for such a small bottle. I’m really not sure how much to use. I used a small amount on my hands, but I feel that I would automatically use too much on my body…that’s if I were to even use this on my entire body. I don’t have allergies or skin sensitivity so this wouldn’t be my go to lotion at such a steep price and small bottle. I wouldn’t use it on my newborn for sure and I am gate keeping this product from my son and fiancé because I know they would use entirely too much of it. Maybe I’d use it on my feet so that they wouldn’t be slippery in heels and still be moisturized. Overall, it’s a great product. I would recommend it for those that have sensitive skin; however there are other products and brands that offer the same benefits that do have more thickness to them. I’m glad I have this product on hand, but I’m not sure how much I’ll actually use it. I use the Bio Oil pretty consistently and will probably just use to pair with that. This product is liquid, more like a water texture than a thicker lotion. It works very well though, even with the high oil content it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave your skin greasy. Good for winter, limits dryness. However, it would have benefited from being a pump bottle. I transferred it to an opaque pump bottle and it is so much more convenient that way. ... show more

I absolutely adored it! It’s a super-liquid cream that effectively keeps your skin hydrated. It leaves a hydrated and slightly oily appearance on the skin, but it’s not sticky at all. There’s no scent, and I liked the bottle design because it prevents leaks. I would buy it again.

Be aware this is not a lotion consistency. It is purely a runny oil. I have no doubt that this oil works great to moisturize dry skin. However, it should not be advertised as a "Lotion". It is very runny and messy and not what I was looking for in a body lotion so I returned it.
