    • Will not replace standard American coils to split a notebook

The binding punches I have don't work with these coils. Nor do they work with the standard size/spacing of the US's standard spiral bound notebook holes. They are really close, but you cannot use them to uncoil a notebook and separate it into smaller notebooks. It doesn't work with The Cinch. It also won't work with a standard hole punch and a lot of gumption. The standard punch hole-size might overlap, but would definitely be too close together and affect the structural integrety of the spine holding. That said, the items are well made. They are a little hard to open, which you probably want since you don't want them popping open and spilling your papers every where. But if you're using them at the full letter-size, using a pair of scissors to slip in and open the rings might save your fingertips some mild discomfort when pinching and opening the full length. It's also nice how they include a graphic for the number of rings needed for the most common standard notebook size sizes (A5, B6, etc). I'm not giving up on these yet. I do think they are a good product, but I need to figure out what punch goes with them. Having images of the proper punch, or even if the company had their own punch to purchase for these. That'd be awesome. I wanted to put this up so no one else gets them with the idea of splitting up a spiral bound notebook though, because it just didn't work for that. A shame! I have so many notebooks that are partially filled due to being dedicated to one project. Would've been really great to have a way to sort of reclaim that paper. ... show more

I got this for my niece (per her request) but it's not the right size that se needed. I plan to get the right hole punch so these don't go to waste. They seem like they are really good quality. They are thicker than the ones we have a work. Can't wait to actually use them.

These are perfect to make your own notebook. They are easily modified (cut them to length, etc.) Yes, you have to open each ring one at a time, but we know that going into the purchase! 10 pack is great as well!

These binding spines are made for a specific binding machine, which I don't have. But I was able to use them manually, but took awhile to open and close them. They're actually very durable and strong. Holds papers, etc perfectly fine and doesn't open once it's closed. They flexes but durable, and goes back to its original shape. If you don't know, these are used with proclick binding supplies, and the GBC Swingline punch. I already have the other supplies, so these binding spines were very tempting. This type of binding is easy to cut to whatever size you need. If you don't already have the punch system, I suppose you could punch pages by hand, but I imagine it would be very time-consuming. That being said, these are as good as the branded binding spines and I'd recommend them if you were looking to get some fun colored ones. ... show more

These are a 3:1 pitch. I was also able to easily cut them with household scissors. They unsnap and snap back together pretty easily. I love the colors!

These click coils are perfect. The papers don’t get stuck on it, holds a very good amount of paper. I had 50 pages in and it was still functioning well. Easy open, easy snap shut
