I like the 5100's but could not figure out how to install these on a stock 09' Toyota Tacoma at the 2.5" setting. I dropped one setting down and was able to install them. Of course the performance is much better that stock and they are well worth the money but if there is a secret to getting the maximum advertised lift they should include that in the instructions or on their website. This is why I marked 4 stars instead of 5

Purchased these new and installed on my 2007 4Runner at 312k miles back in Jan 2024. It is now September 2024 and my 4Runner is now at 320k miles and all the shocks are completely blown. The first few thousand miles after installation was buttery smooth and then one day they all just failed. Reached out to Trend to process a warranty exhange and they wanted me to send the shocks back for warranty and then they’ll send a replacement set out. Unfortunately that’s not possible since they are currently installed on my vehicle and I can’t down my only form of transportation. Expressed my concerns to the seller but they don’t care. 10/10 do not recommend. Save your money, buy Old Man EMU’s and call it a day.

The rear shocks that were on my truck ( 2012 tacoma with 3" lift) were old and crunchy, and it made for a really rough ride. These made a huge difference in how my truck rides, for the better. Only complaint is that it didn't come with a bolt for each side, I was able to re-use one of the bolts that was already on my truck but the other had seized and had to be cut so I had to purchase a replacement bolt and it was a bit of a set back.
