Easy assembly. I purchased two bikes and I assembled both fairly quickly. I have a 3 and 5 year old who both started on balance bikes. My 5 year informed me he didn’t want training wheels and wanted to go straight to pedals. So I ordered one for each kid. My 5 year old had no trouble riding his bike! It took my 3 year old a good 15-20 minutes to figure out the pedals. They’ve both doing so great! I love that the bikes can be assembled 3 different ways. ... show more

I’m reviewing my previous comment, since we reached out to the seller and they sent a new one after we returned the damaged one. This one works perfectly and it’s really easy to use for our 4y/o son. The only con is related to the brakes, they are too stiff and difficult to manage for small hands (we haven’t been able to fix this issue) ———————————————————- There’s a problem with the front part of the frame where the front wheel should fit: the 2 bars are too close together and there’s no way to make the wheel fit. There’s just no way to get costumer service, they don’t have a web site or anything to get the problem solved… I just don’t know what to do with it now ... show more

The bike is poor quality to begin with and came with an obvious paint defect that would have been caught if there was any quality control. The directions are terrible, written in very broken English with the pictures of steps having been taken in someone's apartment. If you buy it for the balance bike part, it does not come that way and has no directions on how to make it so. Sure we can figure it out, but why pay so much for something you have to figure out on your own because the company does not care to provide what is advertised.     • Brake is anemic.

I bought this bike because it is versatile, convertible from a pedal-less balance bike to one with pedals that does not have a coaster brake. Coaster brakes are terrible for kids learning to pedal and should be avoided with extreme prejudice. So, this fits that bill and overall it's OK and can be switched back and forth easily. The design is not great though and the lowest seat height is not as low as my older son's 16" bike, which is the Guardian Bikes 16" wheel size. It is likely that the seat is so bulky on this bike, so swapping it out with a better designed seat would probably fix that. On the other hand the brake is weird in a couple of ways, one it's totally inadequate for actually stopping the bike, even when adjusted to maximize braking power. Oddly enough, it's also mounted on the wrong side for a rear brake in the USA, the left side. In the USA the right hand controls the rear brake, but this bike has the brake mounted on the left side. I don't think I'd recommend it, and would probably suggest finding something else. I'd probably go with what I did for my older son again, buy a better bike that's well designed for kids and leave the pedals off so he could use that as a push bike and then later on put the pedals on for him to learn pedaling. I used the Guardian Bikes 16" the first time. ... show more
