There is no cushion with these grips. The picture on the Amazon page shows how these have raised and lowered sections that give the grip, and you do get a really grip with these. Since there is no cushion, they feel fairly thin, but that just takes a little mental adjustment. I did not get the wrench for these, but they use a 3mm hex allen wrench. The grips themselves have a fairly snug fit, but then the metal end pieces eliminate any possible movement or drift over time. These grips are not going anywhere for a long time. The grips have 2 tabs that come out on the end and the metal end piece fits over and around these tabs. Between the tabs there are "teeth" that apply pressure to the metal of the handlebar itself. The tabs fitting into the end piece also receive a lot of pressure to stay in place as you tighten the end pieces. One of the end caps fit just fine to cover the hole at the end of the handlebar, but it did need a few taps with a hammer to get it to fully seat. The other one just would not get a nice even fit. One end bulges out a bit. However, that is probably more due to the end of the handlebar itself. These have had a bit of abuse over the years. By the way, I put these on the handlebars of the all-terrain knee walker from Knee Rover. The grips that came with the knee scooter have nice cushion but have a definite problem with creep towards the center and I find myself rotating them back and forth while pulling towards the end of the handlebar to get them back in place. These new grips will put an end to that. Very nice.

Put the price they can't be beat Beats the hell out of going to Walmart cuz they sell basically the same thing just for three times the money but they're solid they look just as good as any other ones you can buy anywhere they lock on tight they slide on easily,. Definitely my go-to grips whenever I'm starting a new bicycle to build when I order all my parts these are always in there somewhere slide off easily multicolored

I don’t like these, but for $6 what was I expecting? They don’t fit properly, they dont feel secure, they feel crappy when holding. They look the same as similar style grips but are lacking in quality. Installation was easy enough, just lock down the collar, only it starts going crooked when tightening down. These look like other grips of the same style, but these are not good at all. They feel unsafe like they may slip or break off. I am rough on my bikes, so the grips are something I have to really trust, and I don’t trust these. Lesson learned, shell out a couple more bucks for a decent set.

My old handlebar grips were super sticky, old, and wearing easily. These, however, brought new life to my bike! They are very easy to install, going over my handle pretty easily. They feel very comfortable and never feel loose. They look like they came with my bike! Very happy with these!

These are very much straight forward, no frills, no nonsense grips with a subtle, fine, raised diamond surface. They are not at all cushy, they are rather verging on hard, but adequately grippy. I've got a bunch of bikes, and I am always restoring or modifying old bikes. These would not seem out of place on any mountain bike or cruiser, but they do not convey cushy luxury - they are more utilitarian and functional. These are stiff, not rubbery. I consider that a plus. It make them suitable for cutting one of them short to fit if necessary with a shifter or ebike throttle. I've bought grips with a similar design for 4 times the cost - never gain, as long as these are available at under 6 bucks. It cracks me up however that the ad has a silhouette picture of a rider on a road bike that would have taped handlebars with the caption "Tease Controlling." Perhaps they are trying to tell us that there are gently raised pleasure ribs on these lightweight handle sleeves.
