This is one of the best unnecessary items I have ever bought. I have had so much fun with it. The drinks are easy to make. Are they better than handcrafted cocktails? Of course not. But they are good - ranging from great to I won't buy that pod again. Most however range from B+ to B- with a few As and a few Cs. The machine is a lot of fun and everyone who comes over wants to try it out. My adult daughter and her (adult - 21+) friends had a blast with the machine when she came home from Spring Break. I buy the pods from the Bartesian website. It takes 2 days to arrive via fed ex and shipping is free when your order $50 or more. Pods are usually $19.99 for 8 but if you do a subscription its 20% off. If you have a friend who is a drinker the Bev is a great present. About $200 -$220 - not a cheap gift, but if that's the price range, it's a great gift. Although to make it a greater gift you might supply some bottles of booze to go with it. It easy to clean once you figure it out. My younger daughter makes mocktails with it. By far my favorite thing I've bought in a long time. ... show more

I love that you display the bottles, that it isn't gravity fed, and that it holds all five types of liquor without having to change bottles. I have had no issues with leaking and this machine can make some very strong drinks if you want them. Pods can get pricey, but still cheaper than having all to by all the mixer for every drink. ... show more

We were going to get the Bartesian because it was on super-sale at the box store. But it was the small one with only 2 bottles. For $50 more, we got the BEV from Black and Decker. Amazing. It holds 5 different liquors, and fresh water so you don't have to change out the bottles every time someone wants something different. The biggest plus is that it draws from upright bottles so friends know what brand your using. Those that don't like Hornitos may want to choose a Vodka selection instead. The kicker is the carrying case. This machine is portable. I'm taking it to Vegas for my hotel room. While the Bartesian Pods are expensive, ($2.50 each) try to find a cocktail at your local bar for twice that. The math does add up, though if 30 people show up to your party, you may have to hide the machine and break out the cheap drinks. Cheers. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I saw mixed reviews about the Bartesian, so I decided to give the bev by Black and Decker a try. I fall in love more and more every single time I use it! Super easy to use and the drinks are always tasty! 10/10, I have no regrets!
