This product was not great. It didn't even last a month. No matter how many times I cleaned it or changed filter it made the pool dirtier and died before a month end of using it. Pool ended up turning green and had to shut pool down beginning of August. But couldn't a refund because it was past 30 days of purchase but it didn't even last 30 days.

I went all out this year and got a cordless pool vacuum, a manual skimmer and this larger pump for my 14 foot above ground pool. So far my pool is very clean (6weeks in, 100 degree plus temperatures) and way less trouble than last year. I also got a pool cover but I have not used it because it heats the water like a sauna and the water is still clean. I live in the country so that is really saying something. The hoses need to be made stronger. The angle they have to bend hanging from the pool in this heat causes them to crack before the summer is over. So a thicker plastic/rubber combination or hose sleeves from the pool edge on the hose about 8-10" to help them not be so severely bent would be nice.👍

You can basically plan on buying a new one every few months. When I initially bought the pool for my granddaughter it came with this pump/filter. It didn’t work coming out of the box. So I bought a new one because I didn’t realize the one that came with it didn’t work until the pool was filled with water and the place I bought it would not allow me to return just the filter. Any way the new one lasted 3 months so at this point I’m on my third filter in less than a year
