Save yourself time, frustration and a ton of cussing. This comes in 2 pieces ... a mounting plate that screws onto your switch/outlet box, and the screwless plate that snaps onto that mounting plate. The way they come packaged IS NOT the way they get installed. Flip the mounting plate over! If you look at the two pieces, you will notice both have writing on one side. That side goes against the wall. This is obvious with the face plate, which also has a directional "top" marking. These do not come with instructions, so I assumed they are mounted as they are packaged. I struggled with the mounting plate until I stopped cussing and gave it a moments thought. I guess if they were packaged as they should be mounted, they'd snap together enroute, but one small sheet of instructions would have saved me a lot of head banging. Once I figured that out, installation was a breeze. They match my Lutron and Leviton rocker switches and outlets and give a nice, clean, updated look. ... show more

Maybe not as sturdy as the big brands, but these work very well and the price is right. It is a little difficult to get the switch flush with the plate, but nobody will notice. Also, the frame which goes on the wall does not align around the edges of the switches, so you have to really line them up before installing the final trim. ... show more

I have installed couple Lutron Diva dimmers. Found this wall plate (gloss snow white with USWP6 color coded) has almost identical color. They are in 1/3 cost of Lutron plates. Material and quality seemed good. Not sure about durability but very happy with this plate on the Lutron. However, I bought some, BESTTEN Single-Pole Decorator Wall Light Switch, 15A 120/277V, On/Off Rocker Interrupter, UL Listed, White But to my surprise, the plate color does NOT match with their light switch. Above BESTTEN switch is in a brighter white. I will need to look for a color matched rocker light switch. ... show more

These have a great finish to them (glossy), are not 'sandwich style' (so no seams around the edges), and have the notch at the very bottom in the event it needs to be pulled off to get to the junction box. For those who are having issues with recessed outlets or rocker switches, the screws on those outlets/switches act as an adjustment once you have the baseplate on to account for the depth. If you have a small gap between this new plate and the wall, it may be the junction box or the drywall that needs a slight fix.
