I got the carbon fiber so I can easily wipe clean if need be. I also like how you can choose the side you want for the shelving, which works perfectly for storing items out of sight. For a gaming desk it meets basic needs, it has plenty of length for the monitor, tower, and a 2nd vertical monitor could fit for sure with space to the left. The only thing I'd pay attention to is the width, you will be sitting pretty close to the monitor so keep that in mind. I was in need for small desk for my apartment and purchased the carbon fiber version of the desk. I was pleased that none of the pieces came damaged and had all the screws needed to assemble. It took me about 45 mins to put it together and followed the instructions to make sure I didn’t do it wrong. I am pleased with how it looks. Probably the easiest table to assemble, just make sure not to screw to tight or you'll probably go through the wood like I've seen from other customers. But I had no problem with that and love that you can set the L shape left or right! Great product!!

I love this desk though I will say that the instruction for the assembly left a lot to be desired and cause a lot of time consuming frustration. When assembling did not clarify and was made to take desk apart more than once while assembling because directions were unclear and extremely confusing.
