This thing is small and compact so you can take it with you easily in your car. You can transform it into different setups, but I feel more comfortable with leaving the barricade up. I also sometimes place this into a larger playpen and then leave the barricade down for more freedom of movement. This is a very handy Baby Gym / Playpen. We have a new Granddaughter who is 2 months old. When we watch her she hangs out in this Playpen some of the time. She is very young, but she likes to watch the hanging items. She also is not very mobile, so this is great to give her a cushioned surface to lay on and keeps her in place. There are also plastic balls included that say they will help with motor skills. I can see that being the case but our granddaughter is too young for that yet. There is also a nice storage bag connected to the side to keep track of the balls. Around the edge of the Playpen there are 2 openings (see pics). I’m not really sure what those are for. They are smaller than her head, so even when she get mobile I doubt they will cause an issue, but again, not sure why they are there. The playpen was very easy to put together. The arches are flexible and they fit well in the side holders. There are also plastic clips that help secure the arches and keep things in place. It also packs up nicely and is easy to transport. It is very lightweight. The hanging items are at a great height. Especially for young babies. They are high enough the have to reach, which I like. I like the colors and this Playpen gives us comfort knowing when she does get more mobile it will help keep her in place. The playpen sides are sturdy enough to keep her in place. The media could not be loaded. First, one of the rods came in broken on arrival so I have to return regardless. Second, in the photos the color of the item looks more white/cream. I was surprised at the more yellow/cream shade which I didn’t really like or want. The padding is also very bunched in certain places. This is a fun play mat and ball pit. It actually includes a few balls as well! Other play mats have fabric sides that don't really do much to make it a ball pit. This one has mesh sides that are sturdier for ball pit purposes. The play mat is someone soft. Cute toys.
