The media could not be loaded. (Edit: Please see original review below. This is being edited after having this cane for 4 months. Please, read this fully, because this is a serious issue. I purchased this walking cane in August and, of course having to rely on it for better mobility, I used it right away. Let me start by saying that a walking cane has an expected life of 5 years. YEARS. Not months. I reviewed many canes within my budget and spent quite some time narrowing down what would be best for my circumstances. I came to this one and purchased it. At first, it was okay. Having the quad base was nice, but it didn't stay standing on carpeting. Then it didn't stay upright on most surfaces. The metal ring used to tighten the spot at the top came loose and wouldn't stay put at the 2 week mark. I used gorilla glue and made sure it never came loose again. This was an issue because it jeopardized the stability of the cane. The handle started to lose the rubber, right where my hand was positioned when holding it. This created pain in my shoulders and made things much harder. I have calluses from there being no support. In December, just 3 months after I started using this cane, a crack began to form around the base of the handle. It wasn't noticeable at first, but slowly got worse as I used the cane. There's a significant amount of area between the base of the handle and the top of the cane, to which I realized is the why of the deteriorating plastic. I started to use the cane less because of this, but I require it daily, so I still had no choice. Instead, I adjusted the placement of my hand. This caused more strain. On December 23rd, the handle came clean off as I was walking to my bathroom. The plastic gave out and fully broke around the handle and top of the cane. I actually lost my balance because of this and fell. Thankfully I wasn't hurt nearly as bad as it could've been had I not been at home and in a spot where I was able to safely catch myself. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS if an elderly person is attempting to use this cane and has this same issue. My husband purchased the Hurrycane Freedom Edition for me from our local Walmart and there are SIGNIFICANT differences, beginning with the amount of space between the handle and top of the cane. It's a bit heavier, but not by much, and it's also a foldable cane. The base has 3 feet instead of the 4 for this one, but that's okay. It's not always the best at staying upright on certain surfaces, but it sure as heck is built where it's not going to cause me to fall!! I'm looking for a different cane to alternate with my Hurrycane, but I'll say this with confidence. I will NEVER EVER purchase another Benecane for as long as I live. ⭐ PLEASE see updated pictures to reflect the deterioration of the Benecane. In conclusion, I'm changing my rating to 1 star from 3 stars. This is completely unacceptable and unsafe to be using for daily use, which is what a walking cane is supposed to be used for.) This is my first cane, so I can only go by my feel of this one instead of this one vs a different brand. I'm 5'3" and it's currently on the 3rd from the bottom hole. It fits perfectly and doesn't cause issue. There are 4 more holes that can adjust the cane higher. My husband is 6'2" and adjusted it to fit him with it doing so nicely. 5/5 for adjustability for all heights. This has a quad base that offers the ability to stand on its own beside you, instead of having to lean against anything. Careful, however, because the cane itself is able to rotate and it must be moved a bit forward or backward to stand on its own. However, there's a lot of times it's still very wobbly and falls over. This can be an issue for anyone whose unable to bend over and pick it up without issue. 3/5 for ability to stand on its own with the base. There's a strap to wrap around your wrist to give more support to keep the cane from falling over. This is removable, if you choose, but it's actually been helpful in handling the cane. It has, however, became tangled around my wrist and the handle of the cane when I've gone to hold the cane again after I've had to let go of it. This has caused a bit of a hang up, but doesn't impede too much. It's just an annoyance. 5/5 for removability of the strap; 4/5 for handling of the strap around the wrist. Color wise, I chose pink because the pink in the pictures are more of a vibrant hot pink. I received rose gold. While this is still a pretty color, I was hoping for the vibrant pink that was pictured and advertised. This was a bit of a let down because between this cane and one that had exact similar features, I chose this one because of the color. 3/5 for color - it needs to be stated that the pink isn't as listed in the pictures of the advertisement. Stability while walking is great. I've had no issues. It does feel like it's going to bend and buckle sometimes, but that's because it's able to fold up, so you're feeling the cord inside of it. There's give to it, so as long as you're holding it correctly and bearing the weight right, you'll be fine. 5/5 for that....so far. The other issue I've had is the ring that tightens after adjustment has been made. It doesn't tighten that well and it comes loose after a turn or two more than it thinks it should be turned. Quite annoying as you're walking and it falls down. Not sure if this will cause the cane to not be as durable while walking. Time will tell with that. Overall, it's not a bad cane. It does have some features that I absolutely love and then there are some things I'd change. I'm going to purchase the other cane I seen that I wanted as the reviews show the color options were correctly sent out to the customer. I'm 34 and found myself in a situation of having to use one of these things, so I wanted something that I felt would fit my personality and overall be something that a younger individual might use. I wouldn't expect to see a mature person using anything flashy, but hey, if that's something you're down for then by all means, live it up! If you're looking for something a bit more steady and one that will stand up 100% of the time, this isn't it. If you're looking for something that will give you support while you're trying to go about your day and get you through, this is it.

I ordered a green cane about three months ago and am very pleased with it as I could shorten it to a comfortable length for me. I decided to get a second one and ordered the brown one. It is an inch taller than the green one when the adjustment button is same number of holes from the handle. I was finally able to get it to work but if you need the cane SHORTER than the factory pre-set, you are out of luck with the brown one.

I like this type of cane because it can stand up by itself. However, like any cane like this one, it isn't that stable on carpet with any amount of nap. Hard floors are best for this cane to stand up. Walking with the cane with the motion tip is nice but it does make a slight noise when it bends. I do not know how long this cane will last. I have had it only a couple days. I like it so far.

Love the colors available and the fact that it folds down. The base is smaller than I anticipated, so it doesn't stand well on its own as I had hoped. It is strong to support walking and leaning. After much use, the base got loosened, but you just twist it to screw it back tightly. It has a wrist loop at the top to keep it on you while you do things, or I used it to hang it on to something so it wouldn't fall to the ground.

I got this to use in Scotland where I knew I'd be on cobblestones and other rough terrain. Worked great, and is now my everyday cane as I have gotten more unstable. Very adjustable (I'm just under 5'). Just beware, it doesn't stand on its own very well.

Got this on Sunday, 9/24, and so far so good. I have a bad lower back and using this type of cane helps me continue to walk with minimal support. Especially when it’s raining like it has been in NY. Chose this color so it definitely is mine and not any black walking stick. Good value

Just underwent foot surgery (L foot) yesterday and have to use knee scooter. My bedroom is only carpeted room in my house, so it takes a little more effort to use the equipment, but I found that using the cane to give me a little more push has been helpful with reducing stress on right leg. Sounds like it might be awkward, but it's working for me.
