One of the best wallets I have owned. I usually get the cheapest $20 wallet or what not from the store or even as far as going over to one of the Mexican border towns to buy a leather wallet. They all worked great for being cheap Genuine Leather wallets but when this came I was pleasantly surprised with a nicely packaged wallet that felt great. You can immediately tell the difference in quality between the normal 'Genuine Leather' and the top grain leather that this is made out of. Genuine Leather is essentially made up of the pulp leather that's left over from whatever it was they were making. Top grain is one of the higher quality leathers available. This feels like a nice couch or leather jacket and I am looking forward to using it over the years and watch how beautifully it ages. The wallet has plenty of room for my most used credit cards, member/discount cards, and identification. I do wish it was a little larger but when looking for a new wallet I was tired of sitting on a mess of a wallet. It fits my needs perfectly and I'm forced to keep only what I need in there. It is not as small as a ultra thin or minimalist wallet but it comes very close. I can hardly feel it when I'm driving or sitting which is exactly what I was looking for. As some of the other reviews mentioned there is a copper owl on the outside. I do not feel or notice this at all. On long drives or while at work I usually pull my wallet out, but this has been a complete non issue for me. The hidden pouch came in handy recently when I was looking to save $20 here and there from the ATM when I was getting ready to go away for a 2 month long education course. I would put the money in the hidden pocket and was less tempted to use it unless I absolutely needed to. All in all it is a beautifully crafted wallet. It strikes a great compromise between size and carrying capacity. I hope this is the last wallet I will need to purchase for the next 10 years but we'll see how it stands the test of time. Hopefully in the next couple of years the leather will gain more character from use.

I tend to keep the same wallet for many years, so when it finally came time to buy a replacement, I reasoned that it was worth it to spend a little more to get something really handsome and well-made, which is exactly what this wallet is. The layout is simple and functional, with no extraneous features; exactly what I want from a wallet. The leather looks and feels high-quality, and the two-tone design adds just the right amount of visual interest. I'm looking forward to carrying this wallet for years to come.

Features - 4/5 Slim design with 4 visible card slots, a 5th semi-visible card slot, and a "secret" flap behind the cash flap. I have two small issues with these features. First, while it may have been a design choice, the thin band of leather over the secret flap doesnt unfold flat over the compartment when the wallet is opened. The thin band of leather also means the wallet wont be totally evenly flat when closed, so a ridge outlining this might develop overtime. My second issue is the lowest card slot has rather uneven space; if you put cards in all 3 slots in the right side, the lowest card slightly covers the card line of the slot above it. Build - 4/5 I came from using a Fossil wallet that is half the price, yet I find the overall feel of this Bellroy inferior. While I understand this model aims to be as thin as possible, the leather feels paper-like in its thinness and the surface feels a bit plasticky. It feels like overtime, an outline of my cards (even if they're just 5) will develop on the surface. Overall - 4/5 I just wanted a simple leather bifold that doesn't have a 3rd flap or a surplus of card slots, which would make it thicker than necessary. While this wallet succeeds in those aspects, the uneven lowest card slot and the implementation of the leather over the secret flap makes the design feel not as polished. Im a layman in terms of leather, but i find the leather quality leaves a bit more to be desired. If Fossil had a similar model to this with their sturdier feeling leather, I mightve bought that one insgead.
