Love this wallet. I have plenty of room for cards and cash. I like the hidden compartment, which I'll stow some emergency cash. The RFID blocker works great. I think the only issue I have with that is that I use an ID card to get into doors at my office, and the RFID blocks that, so I have to open the wallet to swipe. I'd love for there to be a single pocket on the outside of the wallet for swipeable cards so I don't have to awkwardly open the wallet and swipe the wallet over the keypad. ... show more

I have used a Dockers wallet I have had for years, and it was cluttered. There were just too many folds and I had cards, bills, and receipts stuffed in. After researching wallets, I chose the Hide and Seek. I received mine today so while I can't attest to the longevity of the wallet yet, I am happy with it so far. I think it's a nice design and I like the style of the lining in the wallet. I initially chose it because I felt like it would help me slim down on the contents of this wallet. I have seen some reviews complain that it is no less bulky than their old wallet, but then I see a picture of their Bellroy stuffed with 10+ cards. My take on this is that a wallet is not going to magically be slim if you over stuff it. This wallet is designed to help you change your mindset and decide what cards are most important to you. I cleaned out my Dockers wallet and put in only 5 of my most frequently used cards and some of my bills. Everything else I just left in my old wallet and put it away in my drawer since I don't use those contents frequently at all. Attached are photos of my old Dockers wallet and how cluttered it was, and my new Bellroy Hide and Seek (java color). I love how much more organized and simple my wallet is now. I also love the orange interior of the java colored wallet as well as the styling of the lining. The one part of the wallet I don't care for is the bill hiding flap. It is no big deal. I put a bill behind it and took it out, and it just seems like it takes more time and effort to tuck it away and pull it out than it is really worth. If you're buying the wallet just for that feature alone, I would suggest not to get your hopes up. I don't plan to use it much if at all. If I do use it, it will be to store bigger bills that I don't plan to use frequently in case of a possible emergency or something. I also don't see the problem with the metal owl on the front, unlike a few other reviews. First, I like the design. I appreciate the fact that Bellroy didn't plaster their name all over the front of the wallet like some other companies do. I have seen some wallets on Amazon that have the company's name go completely across the length of the wallet. That's tacky in my opinion. Second, I do not see how it would hurt my rear end. However, I'll never know. This wallet will be going in my front pocket. I don't sit on wallets if they cost me $90. If you can't fit this wallet into your front pocket comfortably, then you missed the point of the wallet. Choose your most frequent cards and fill the wallet strategically. If you can't fill this wallet without putting every card you own into it, then don't buy this wallet because you're missing the point of it. Overall, I'm glad I dropped the extra cash on the wallet while I could, and I'm hoping that the durability of this wallet will be good. I give it five stars, because I finally have a nice looking and organized wallet. I will never be seen with my old George Costanza wallet again. If you do choose this wallet with hopes to slim down the contents of your wallet, please just remember that it has everything to do with your mindset and nothing to do with "magic". ... show more

Great wallet. Beautifully made. However, the metallic raised logo has put holes in my jeans due to prolonged sitting on hard seats in the trains. Its the only downfall. So now I am buying another one, no metallic logo.

    • Beautiful wallet with a few flaws

This wallet replaced a 15+ year old JCP Stafford billfold wallet that I paid less than $25 for. Overall, I love the look and feel of this wallet, and even though I initially felt a little silly spending over $80 for it, I think think it's worth the money. The leather looks to be of good quality and the raised owl emblem is a nice touch (although I'm a little concerned it may wear a hole in my pocket). That being said, there are a few negatives: 1) I don't really think the wallet's especially slim. Compared with my old wallet, I don't really see a difference, and the old wallet even had a detachable license holder. The only reason the Bellroy is slimmer is because I've gotten rid of a bunch of junk; 2) The hide & seek section of the wallet is basically useless. I'll probably never use it and doubt there's very many people sizing up what's in my wallet when I'm opening it. I think it's more likely that they'll notice me going into my secret stash of $1,000 bills. Also, when I have more than 10 bills or so in my wallet, it takes some effort to push them all in so they aren't poking out. I think the additional bulk of the lining that separates the sections is causing that. I would rather have the lining sewn or adhered to the inside side of the wallet. I think that would also make the wallet a bit slimmer; 3) The two card pockets on the left side of the wallet are not evenly distributed from top to bottom like the three slots on the right side are. On the right side, the cards lay flat from top to bottom. On the left side, there's a thickening in the wallet at the top because the card in the bottom slot only goes bout 2/3's of the way down the wallet. I think it would be a better wallet if there were three slots on both sides; and, 4) I ran into the same fraying issue that others have mentioned. The fraying is on the top and bottom of the wallet at the fold. This was noticeable within the first few days of use. It does not seem to be getting any worse after the first week or so. The wallet definitely has a premium feel to it. I like handling it and I like the way it fits in my back pocket. It's sleek enough to fit in the front pocket as well. Overall, I recommend it, but wish it was less gimmicky. ... show more
