Purchasing this charger is a decision that I've been extremely happy with ever since I made it! I have it clipped in one of my vents on the Driver's side of my car. Not only is it a Fast Magsafe Wireless Charger, but it allows my phone to act as a little Heads Up Display while I drive, showing me my GPS, music, notifications, incoming calls, text messages, and more! The magnets are super strong, and you do not have to worry about your phone falling off (without a case), and it charges your phone very quickly for it being a wireless charger, for real. I didn't expect it to charge my phone as fast as it does, but my drive is about 45 minutes to work, and if I forget to charge my phone overnight, this will charge my phone from 20% to above 90% in that 45 minutes (iPhone 14 Pro Max). My friend has a Galaxy phone (S24 Ultra, I think) with a Magsafe case on it so they can use Magsafe accessories, too, and this will hold their phone securely, as well. If I remember correctly, it charged their phone from less than 5% to a Full Charge within about an hour and twenty-five minutes while they drove my car on vacation. So, it is a solid accessory for any phone with the Magsafe capability. This charger is very durable, and the design is flawless in my opinion. It's small and compact, unlike some other devices that allow you to mount your phone to your vents or dash. It's a minimalistic mount that doubles as a Fast Wireless Charger for your phone. It's extremely convenient because you don't have to fumble with cords to get everything going. You just stick your phone in the orientation that you want, and you're off! Simple as can be, if you ask me. It even inspired me to get a bedside 3-in-1 Magsafe charger for my iPhone, Airpods, and Apple Watch, which I love so much! First, some background on what I drive, where I drive, and how I drive: I effectively drive the equivalent of an ox-cart on the Oregon Trail. More specifically, I drive a Ford F-350 Super Duty, and I drive on rough dirt roads all over Colorado. I have the snow plow/camper package, which makes the springs in the front more stiff. I keep my tires, front and back, inflated to the recommended PSI from Ford, which is suitable for hauling the max payload of 3,500 lbs. So, when I have a bunch of weight on the truck, like my truck camper, that I don't have anymore, the ride is nice and smooth. But when I don't, which is most of the time, it bounces around like an ox-cart. My dental bill costs more than my truck. Thanks, Ford! Many of the roads that I drive on scare your average Jeep Wrangle owner. I use my locking rear diff. Yesterday, my trailer hitch served better as a boat anchor in a mud crossing than a trailer hitch. I push the truck's limits on these dirt roads and I drive fast. Sometimes my water bottles fly out of the drink holders. I have hit the front bump stops, on the heavy service front springs, on at least a dozen occasions. My legs have been bruised from bouncing off of the door and the center console for hours at a time. When I hit washboarded road, I step on the gas. If I brought a bottle of cream with me, it would turn to butter. Now, you think I might be joking about all the things listed above, but I am not. This is what I drive, and this is how I drive. I am literally the worst case scenario for a vent mounted magnetic phone holder. Now that you know some background, I can write my review: This vent mounted magnetic iPhone charger is the best one out there. It holds onto my phone, and it hold onto my vent, better than any other vent mount phone holder I have used in the past 20 years. In fact, much to my surprise, my phone has never fallen off of the mount, and the mount has never fallen off of the vent. Completely worth the high price. I have an iPhone 14 Pro with the Apple leather case.

This charger is incredibly handy for hands-free driving. The strong magnetic hold keeps my iPhone in place, even over bumps. The 15 W fast charging works reliably, and I love the ability to rotate the phone from portrait to landscape with ease. Installation was very easy; just clip it to the vent, and it’s ready to go. The slim design looks sleek, and the integrated cable strap keeps things neat. Plus, it comes with a two-year warranty for extra peace of mind. It’s expensive but it’s the only MagSafe certified car mount you can get. It’s very high quality and does not come off once it’s been attached to a vent. I used it for a road trip to get from Alaska to the East coast in 12 days. In that time we subjected it to some pretty extreme potholes and gravel roads in the Canadian wilderness. My phone definitely fell off a couple times even when I took off my case to give it better contact with the magnet, but that was from some massive potholes and stuff on the Alcan. It’s great for 99% of use cases just don’t expect it to keep your phone on there when you hit massive bumps.

I believe it might be the most elegant and premium Car MagSafe Charger out there. It is easy to secure and it just looks gorgeous on your car. One con (and that's why im not giving the 5 stars) is that although it charges faster than the qi generic chargers, I think it charges a little bit slower than my other Boost Charge Pro Magsafe chargers from Belkin (non car chargers). Although it is pricey on regular, I believe you can get it from 74 dollars or so right now. There are some other qi alternatives or you can search for the new qi2 chargers, but Im afraid those do not feel premium like the Belkin one. Otherwise, an excellent choice if you want to get the full Made for Magsafe certification and the premium quality of Belkin.

After using this charger for a few months in both cooler and warmer weather, here's what I've found: On cooler days (around 40F outside, 70F in the car) or on warmer days with the AC on, the charger works as expected. As shown in the top photo, the charging speed is similar to that of a regular MagSafe charger, and it charges faster when the battery is low and slows down as the battery level increases. However, as the bottom photo shows, on warmer days (around 80F) from 3-4PM, the charger failed to charge the phone or even maintain the battery level, as many reviewers observed. With the AC on around 5-6PM, it did charge the phone but at a slower rate. When it's cooler, from 9-10PM at night, the charging speed is comparable to a regular MagSafe charger. In addition to temperature, app usage also affects the charging. The device is more likely to charge the phone when using Apple Maps for navigation than when using Google Maps or Waze, which drain the battery more quickly. This charger may be difficult to justify at a cost of $100, especially considering that it fails to charge in certain circumstances. However, as the only Apple-certified MagSafe car charger, it offers better temperature control and safety mechanisms, providing peace of mind for frequent travelers who rely on their devices while on the road. Faulty chargers do cause fires. Btw check Belkin's own website, they offer coupons from time to time.

Let me start with the good. The charger has a great, strong clip for your vents, and has a good magnet, my phone (it is an iphone mini, so not as heavy as some of the others) has never fallen off even on very bumpy roads. Now the bad. It charges fine if the phone is not in use, but on a sunny day (phone brightness is high) while using GPS for navigation the battery just keeps draining more slowly than usual despite being on the charger. Given that this is supposedly the most powerful of the magsafe car chargers and costs about $100, it is not worth it. Just buy a simple magsafe vent holder and plug your phone in separately, unless you don't plan to use navigation while having the phone plugged in. Now, in case people don't believe that I was using it correctly. This was on a cold winter day, but I did not have the car heat on the phone, so the phone was a very comfy temperature. Also, I have a very powerful Anker car charger that I plugged this charger into. It is capable of outputting 9V at 3A, which is more than this charger can accept (9V at 2.22A), so that wasn't the issue either.

Although this is not the most low profile MagSafe charger you can buy, having tried and returned uncountable wireless chargers in my cards, this is the best. I have no cons for it. Seriously. The Pros? - The rubber feet that connect to the vents are very strong and sturdy with no vibration and bare minimum shake of the phone - even larger ones like the S24 Ultra - The Magnets has worked across multiple phones. - Charges FAST. - And the MOST important of all, the firmness of the ball joint connection to the charger is the BEST I have tried to date. Neither my iPhone 14 Pro Max or the S24 Ultra have managed to droop the thing down because of their respective weights - even over long drives. Belkin have done such a good job at this, I purchased 3 - 2 chargers and one is an unpowered one for the passenger side.
