Because there were comments about it's running small, I upped the size from King to California King. I'm so glad I did, as it fits my king bed perfectly. I don't know about the fit of the sheets, as I didn't want them, and donated them. The shams are a perfect fit for king pillows, and have nice, large edges. The great thing about this comforter is that the individual diamonds are not filled separately which always ends up getting bunched up in each diamond. This comforter seems to be filled with one full sheet of batting, and the diamond pattern sewn onto the layers, making it fully shift-free. The fabric is soft and not slippery, which is a plus. Honestly, I live in a hot state so I actually like that the sheets are thin and the comforter is pretty thin too. Cool is more important here than warm. If you're in a cool state, these will work nicely for summer, but not hold in your heat in the winter. The one big thing that I'm stuck on is the wrinkles. It comes in a vacuum sealed bag. This causes some extremely deep wrinkles. Then, reading the care instructions tells me the comforter needs to be washed and dried in "low heat" and it cannot be ironed. How do I remove these wrinkles? I will try steaming them off before I return it. I'm afraid it will be ruined, though, and unreturnable. ... show more

Ordered california king for our extra extra thick queen size bed. Nice roomy fit with lots of overhang. The sheets are quite thin, but very soft and washed well. Used them for a king size guest room bed. Very happy with my purchase.
