I moved from SoCal to Michigan and needed some winter bedding. I have a comforter I love but wanted a duvet for some extra warmth. I hemmed and hawed at several options both on Amazon and other places and just wasn’t sure what I wanted. There are a lot of options for a newbie lol. I was worried about getting something too heavy and it being too hot to use all through winter and into spring but also worried about spending money on something that wasn’t heavy enough and having to buy double what I intended to. Then I got a ping that this was on a lightning deal for a little over $22 and bought it completely on a whim. It was a surprisingly good buy. When it arrived it looked quite thin so I immediately took it to the dryer (on air fluff no heat) to see if I could fluff it up. It did fluff up a little but was still quite thin. I shrugged it off thinking that even if it was too light and I needed to purchase another heavier duvet this was still a nice quality item to have when I needed it or to have for guests, especially at the price I got it. And then I slept with it. It’s so warm! I have it on my bed along with my duvet and there were several nights in October and even November that I had to throw off my comforter and just sleep with this duvet because it was plenty warm enough. Now with December in full swing and a snowstorm having just hit - I am grateful for both of them on my bed at night. It maintains heat really well also when I put a heating pad or hot water bottle under it - it locks in that heat for quite a while. The duvet itself is very soft and has washed very well. I haven’t had any issues with threads coming lose or the filling bunching. If you have super cold winters with constant snow or if you’re sensitive to the cold I think this would be too light. But for Detroit winter, (coming from a thin-skinned SoCal girl) - this is enough of an addition to my regular bedding. I imagine adding a duvet cover would also help make it a bit heavier (especially if you added a flannel cover or something) but I haven’t added one yet to mine since I’m being indecisive about the color lol and it’s been just fine. ... show more

Bought this for my guest room to use as an insert for my pottery barn duvet cover and was expecting a mediocre insert but was blown away by the quality. It was in an vacuumed sealed plastic cover and once I took it out you could feel it was good quality by the look and feel of it. I first bought the mattress topper in full. Then when I upgraded my bed I bought it in king size. I was on the hunt to upgrade my bedding and tiktok suggested this cover. I did not remember I had good experiences with Bedsure until the comforter and sheet set I bought arrived. First, everything was really easy to wash. I'm allergic to down so finding an alternative that was a good price (bought during black Friday) and comfortable was a must. I wish I bought this one earlier! I bought this to go inside a beautiful toile duvet cover that I got from Ballard Designs. I love that it has hooks so I can tie down the corners. This is my first experience with a duvet vs a comforter. It takes a little more work but it’s really worth it. I think it’s going to be wonderful for Florida weather. I had hoped the blanket was a bit thicker to fill out my duvet cover but after checking the specs after purchase and comparing it to others this blanket is made on the small side.
