I like that its a polyester material, feels cool at all times, very nice maroon/burgundy color. I wouldn't say soft since it's not cotton but it does feel smooth & gentle. Does come with what is included, the pillow cases, 4 in total with 2 being neutral 2 being the color. The thin base cover that is for the mattress & the other thin layer sheet that goes ontop of that one. Then the last being the puffy colored one. Ordered california king for our extra extra thick queen size bed. Nice roomy fit with lots of overhang. The sheets are quite thin, but very soft and washed well. Used them for a king size guest room bed. Very happy with my purchase.

Because there were comments about it's running small, I upped the size from King to California King. I'm so glad I did, as it fits my king bed perfectly. I don't know about the fit of the sheets, as I didn't want them, and donated them. The shams are a perfect fit for king pillows, and have nice, large edges. The great thing about this comforter is that the individual diamonds are not filled separately which always ends up getting bunched up in each diamond. This comforter seems to be filled with one full sheet of batting, and the diamond pattern sewn onto the layers, making it fully shift-free. The fabric is soft and not slippery, which is a plus. It isn't puffy yet, but is very comfortable and warm. I'm very happy with it. ... show more

The sheets are super soft and silky and fit on a 12" mattress with ease. They look amazing and match most color palettes. The comforter itself is awesome! It not only keeps you warm during the winter but also keeps you cool during the summer. I have the best night's sleep with this set.
