  • Excellent Guide to value pre 2022 Baseball cards of all major manufacturers.
This is an excellent guide to assist in the determination of the value of pre-2022 baseball made by the major manufacturers. Remember that the value of a baseball card often is the need of a person to complete a set. This 2022 baseball card value book is a useful tool. It will determine if a specific card has some potential. The use of the Net to determine valuation should be used in conjunction with this book. It was graded by the seller as a "library book" however the book is in excellent condition, and arrived promptly. ... show more

  • quintessential guide
Guide is informative and fairly complete. However there are some cards and some brands which are not listed.

  • Bog book, small print
Over the years, baseball card catalogs have become much bigger while at the same time leaving out cards sold by non-traditional outlets such as K-Bee, Bazooka, Burger King, Kellog, and many others. Of course, there have been many new players over the years and that means bigger books. The current Beckett Guide (44th edition, 2022) measures 10 3/4" by 8" and has 816 pages. I have to use a magnifying glass to read everything. On the positive side, it does a good job with Fleer, Donruss, and Topps. And prices for much of the more odd ball stuff can be found online. ... show more

  • Great and reliable price guide.
I have a 9,000+ baseball card collection to price for selling. I have a guide that's about 10 years old and will be able to also price compare from then to now. Thank you Beckett!

  • KNOW WHAT THE CARD IS WORTH
It's ben a few years since I bought a Beckett and since the Covid issue I wanted to see a diffrence in the price of sum cards I have. I must admit, some cards did go up on price.

  • TERRIBLE! Beckett focuses on listing SERIES alphabetically as Priority, rather Year order as priority
TERRIBLE! BECKETT focuses on listing SERIES alphabetically as Priority #1, rather than listing alphabetically by getting through an entire year of a series... As YEAR ORDER should be MAIN PRIORITY #1!!! Say for example... when going from Bowman to Bowman Chrome... as Bowman Chrome should be next alphabetically after listing every single year of Boman... Well you'd think it would be like this for practicality and ease and speedy search... But no, it will go from 2009 Bowman Chrome Alpha series then skip year back to 2007 Bowman Chrome Anniversary Series (I'm just making up Series) and even jump back to say a Bowman Chrome Beta series 2005!!! then go back to continuing on a Bowman Chrome Delta series if that specific series had began in 2010+ years until the next alphabetical name trumps the year and another older back dated Bowman Chrome Foxtrot 2008 Series is listed.. But because it focuses on Alphabetically as Priority #1 it is NOT PRACTICAL WHATSOEVER AND IT HAS EVEN TAKING ME 20 MINUTES OR HALF AN HOUR TO JUST LOOK UP and FIND ONE CARD!!! Also Zenith is made by Pinnacle so it should be under the Pinnacle section (last series listed in Pinnacle because it begins with Z) BUT NO THEY HAVE ZENITH LISTED SEPARATELY AT THE THE VERY END OF THE BECKET! and some Prime Playoff is listed under Absolute? And many more are like this! Ultra is listed separately under U rather then going through all the Fleer cards series for every year of Fleer, THEN LISTING FLEER-ULTRA LASTLY still under Fleer- but is under Fleer-U... Standing for the ULTRA Series! Same thing for SPX and SP Championship series (made by Upper Deck)... I still can't even find The SP Championship Series! Why not list all the years of just the Upper Decks series, then immediately follow with upper Deck SP and SPX Series rather then put SP and SPX under their own separate category listing under S??? If Beckett is trying to do this to conserve on room to produce an ever so thickness to meet certain shipping guidelines etc. of a value book, then why not just stop all this very impractical headache of a nonsense and put out an ANNUAL VOLUME I for the First 6 Months for $25 then another Volume II come July for another $25? It would only be $10 more a year than the 12 month $40 Monthly Beckett Issue- Subscription... But at least this way BECKETT CAN LIST EVERYTHING!!! YOU JUST BUY 2 VOLUMES A SPORT A YEAR AND BECKETT MAKES $10 MORE MONEY A YEAR per sport ($40 Total for 4 sports, PER PERSON, if the person intends to buy all 4 sports of volume 1 and 2 editions) THIS WAY I DON'T HAVE TO FEEL LIKE I NEED TO BANG MY HEAD OFF THE WALL EITHER!!! MAKE THIS CHANGE HAPPEN BECKETT FOR THE SAKE OF PRACTICALLY! ALL MY 4 SPORT ANNUAL BECKETTS I JUST SPENT $100 for are just collecting dust because you CANNOT USE THEM ... It just TAKES WAY WAY TOO DAMN LONG to LOOK ANYTHING UP, when instead, could be easily fixed by having everything listed like the old days Beckett used to have cards listed! MAKING LISTING BY YEAR PRIORITY #1 and NOT LISTING SOME SERIES (LIKE I PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED ABOVE) IN THERE OWN "SPECIAL" SEPARATE ALPHABETICAL LISTING CATEGORY ON THE OTHER END OF THE BOOK!!! IT TOOK LITERALLY HALF MY ENTIRE DAY (HOURS) JUST TO LOOK UP 300 CARDS! NO JOKE!!! VERY SAD! OLD WAY I COULD'VE LOOKED THEM ALL UP IN 1 HOUR I BET!!! BECKETT YOU HAVE ALOT OF WORK TO DO!!! THIS NEW METHOD SUCKS AND IS TRASH! VERY FRUSTRATING! AND HAVE NO TIME TO SPEND 5-10X longer to look up cards then it should be! ... show more
