I'm tickled to report these boots really are easy to get on and easy to get off. You can believe the other reviews that mention this! At first, I was hesitant to believe them because I wasn't sure if the reviewers defined "easy on, easy off" the same way I do. For me, easy on, easy off means I can slip my feet into the boots hands free. Same with getting them off--I brace one foot against the heel of the other and slide out the foot, all done hands free (well, my hands are busy holding onto something for balance). My balance isn't great and I have to be careful how I bend. These Bearpaw boots accommodate exactly how I manage these issues. Next step: wear these boots for the one outdoor task they're intended for--retrieving the newspaper from the end of the driveway in inclement weather--snowy, icy, sleety weather that creates uneven surfaces and slippery conditions. UPDATE: these boots are perfect for their intended purpose! They do everything I need them to do. Something rubbed against my ankles the first couple of wears, but that quickly went away. The size 6 is roomy for me since I normally wear a 5 1/2, but they fit comfortably, not sloppily. The traction is good on snow but I’m still cautious on ice—I step carefully or shuffle. Mind you, I’m just talking about my trek to retrieve the newspaper from the driveway. The soles have less traction than my Merrill slip ons, which I wear for errands.

These boots are pretty decent for the price. Def not the quality of my EMU Australia mid calf shearling boots but those cost me almost $230. I'm a true size 8 with a wide width and the size 8 fit me perfectly so I would say get your nornal size...BUT if you have large calves because you're plus size or have muscular calves from working out you will probably want to stay away from these. I noticed after I purchased that the shaft circumference is 14". Wide calf people you will want atleast a 15" shaft circumference or larger for the boot to fit you correctly. Sure I can secure the buttons closed but that's only because they stretch like an elastic band. The shafts don't come to a close around my calves so there's a gap/space after I button them and you can see my jeans through the vertical gap which looks stupid because you can clearly see they don't fit properly lol. Also remember, you might be able to fit your larger calf in these and think it's fine or the gap doesn't bother you but that is going to put alot of stress on the buttons and elastic closure after awhile and that's when you are going to see them start to tear and rip off the boot. Soooo because of this I have started a return and will continue to look for a boot like this but with a larger shaft circumference.

Warm and cozy for Wisconsin winter! Wear them as slippers at home and have worn at work. I do recommend using a spray protectant for "suede" before wearing the first time. It's kept them looking great.

These boots are actually very warm. I live in Alaska and wear them all winter. As odd as it sounds they are warmer without any socks. Perfect for going to and from work. Run a little small. I usually wear an 8.5 and I wear a 9 in bear paws.

I love Beapaw Boots. I have purchased from them before and they survive multiple winters. My German Shepherd is a winter dog. The colder and snowier the better. These boots keep my feet warm and dry while we play with a firehose frisbee day and night. Balls sink in snow and it takes me forever to find them as she already knows where they are and swoops in to grab them before I do. Since these are Suede if the snow is really wet, they will get wet eventually, but putting them by a heater vent gets them dry quickly. I usually leave them on, cause we are inside and out a lot. My feet stay warm and dry outside, which is what I want. They are made in the same Chinese factory that makes Uggs. I consider the Bearpaws a great value. We play and walk trails. . The black is a true dark black. All I know is they work for me, I hate being cold. But my pup loves it and it actually makes me laugh to see her so happy. I usually wear without socks, unless it 20 or more below zero. I have their Bearpaw Desdemona Women's Waterproof Boots for hiking with her, but love these for play and everything else. They work for me. I love the lining in them. It’s warm. Since these are black, the color may transfer to feet and socks if I get wet, but that’s normal with black suede. Have no problem with the other colors though.

So very comfortable and warm! Also, not so heavy as some 'other' boots we know. I put in arch support, but I have to do that with most of my shoes. Ordered a size up so all my fat winter socks would fit in. Love them and apparently will live in them this winter:-)
